Hey guys. I was wanting to get a custom made jersey done with my nickname and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas where I can get a good quality Cleveland Browns one done for a good price. Any advice will be great!

I think my wife had mine made at NFL.com with my name and high school number. It was about 6 years ago and a replica type. Held up well. Sometimes a local sporting goods or screen print shop can do it with aheqat seal, I think. Can get pricey though. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I bought mine from NFL.com as well. My suggestion is never get one with a players name unless it's a throwback, such as Kevin Mack.

I believe that NFL.com and others have recently changed their policies.. I tried to get a 66 Hickerson made and they gave me a pop up that said no more former players without permission.. might need to check into that..

What a bunch of garbage, I hope that was a system error.

Nope, not a system error. I just tried again.. it depends on who's jersey. For instance, I tried again with 66 Hickerson (which I KNOW they have allowed before because I almost got one made a few years ago) NFL.com will not allow it Nor will they allow a 32 Brown. Here is the pop up mssg you get: Your current entry cannot be processed. Some entries are prohibited due to guidelines for past and present player names. Please create a new entry.
I tried a 19 Kosar and a 17 Sipe.. both were allowed. I tried to click on the rule guidelines they have but that link is a busted one.. so I don't know what to tell you on that one.. try it I guess.

I believe you, I'm just disappointed in the NFL over this. EDIT - they want you to fork over the few hundred bucks for a throwback Brown/Hickerson jersey since they are in the hall of fame. Just a hunch but I bet I'm no too far off.

Oh, I think there is a way around this. I know enough people that make custom team shirts. Just order the Browns 66 jersey with no name.. take it to your custom shop, tell them your name is Hickerson and you want your name put on the back. As an edit to your edit.. I don't see any throwback Hickerson available.. 32 Brown throwback I already have Geez.. another EDIT.. I tried the Browns team shop online and it appears they will let you do the 66 Hickerson.. I cannot be sure but at least they didn't say no right away..

As opposed to forking over a few hundred for a customized jersey from NFL.com?
My guess is that it has to do with licensing.

If anyone is looking for a Kosar or Brown jersey....go here: eBay Seller in Korea or you can buy from their website directly http://www.everyday365.com/ I have a Kosar jersey from them. Great stuff. $35 from eBay but they'll but shipping in half each extra jersey OR $25 each from their website. Their feedback tells the story, it's legit. I'll be ordering a Bears (W.Payton) & Raiders (always liked Bo Jackson) jersey soon.
