I may buy an old Toyota pick up and will need to replace the radio. If I do, it's on the cheap and I would like to have USB. This is what I'm thinking about:
Dual AM / FM / USB / SD Card / Aux Out BOSS 6.5' Speakers I think 15 watts a channel is enough for me and if not, I could ad an amp. I haven't looked, but I'm assuming that 6.5' speakers are what are in the doors now. I do know that I want 3 ways since I have no intention to add a subwoofer.
My question is about the USB feature. I downloaded and reviewed it's manual and it appears that the order of the mp3s are determined by:
MP3/WMA playback sequence is based on order the files are copied to the USB/SD card device and begins in the root folder. Any empty folders or folders that do not include MP3/WMA files are skipped. Depending on your software, the playback order may vary. Files in the root directory are located in Folder 1. It states that it will sequence according to the order copied, but I'm wondering what, "depending on your software, playback order may vary" means? By "software" are they talking about the mp3 codec? The unit's software? The USB stick?
