Does anyone else watch this show? It's one of the few shows my wife and I actually watch together. I don't know if any of the winners from previous shows have ever amounted to anything at the pro level but I always find the show very interesting. http://www.thegolfchannel.com/big-break-sandals-resorts/

I've seen episodes here and there, but not lately. They filmed one "season" on Prince Edward Island, not far from where I live. IIRC, the winner would get cash, clubs and entry into a Nationwide Tour event... but usually did lousy. Most of them were good golfers compared to the average player, but not really that good. It seemed really contrived, with the mild trash-talking and back-stabbings - the usual "reality" show BS.

I've watched in the past and have enjoyed it. I'm not really looking forward to this season after watching the preview show last night. Sure the women are attractive and look to be pretty good golfers, but it seems like it has to much of a "reality show" feel to it. I think it's going to be about style/fashion and cat fights this season. I will give a watch though. Past winners seem to be playing pretty good golf. I can't really think of the players names, but if you watch the scrolling leaderboard on The Golf Channel they make a point of giving the player name w/ Break Break Winner next to them.
You know my love will Not Fade Away.........

I watched the show for several "seasons." I liked it much more when it was less about a pretty face and more about struggling players trying to live a dream.
I can relate, being a wannabe pro golfer and all.
There have been a couple of guys go on to do really well. The first was a guy named Tommy "two gloves" Gainey, named as such because he wore a glove on each hand, which is unheard of in golf. He has one of the most gawd-awful swings anyone has ever seen, but he just won a Nationwide tour even this year, and he'd made it to the PGA tour last year.
Another guy is named James Nitties, who has made his way to the PGA tour.
There was a show last year (I think) that had a pair of really young somoan brothers on it from Utah. One of those brothers stands a real chance of winning on the pga tour in a few years.
I do dislike the fact that it's more about the cattiness of reality TV than it has been in the past.
***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy. Manziel, see Josh Gordon. Dumbass.***

I agree that the reality TV part of it has gotten in the way. I enjoy watching the competitions. My wife probably watches for the other crap.

Reality TV is a misnomer after the first season.
Once they figure out what the show is about and how to maximize thier own exposure, contestants quick being "real".
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
