I'm not sure how many of you guys around here are MADDEN gamers. I for one, have been a loyal Madden fan since the 2000-N64 days. In my opinon, it's been a rough transition to next gen for Madden and I've found myself at a loss overall. 09 was good but it had some nagging issues. 10 overwhelmed initially with awesome visuals and some improved gameplay in certain areas but most of the same nagging issues have remained. That's why I have high hopes for this game.

BACKBREAKER is developed by some hardcore football fans who are looking for something more. Using a physics engine originally designed by Oxford university to interpret how humans interact with each other on a physical level. They've used this engine to help deliver a diverse and unique football gaming experience that promises 'you'll never see the same kind of tackle twice'.

There are plenty of videos on you tube that you should check out if your curious. There are three developer diaries (I didn't want to post them all here cause I didn't want to spam the thread with videos) that give insight into the more important aspects to the gameplay and how Backbreaker looks to innovate the way the game is played on consoles.

I have pretty high hopes for this game (Coming out June 2nd, Tomorrow) and I hope at the very least it sways enough fans that EA has to change their approach to Madden. If Backbreaker doesn't live up to expectations (and mine are pretty high) I will probably pick up NCAA 11 and wait until Madden 12 to pursue another Madden game. I have been playing Madden 2007 on my original Xbox and it's been fitting the bill quite nicely. I traded in my copy of Madden 10 and don't regret it at all

Have any of you been keeping your eye on this game? I'm pretty damn excited for it!

Without being able to play as the browns, my interests drops dramatically. I just want an updated ESPN NFL 2k5 back, with updates rosters. Best football game ever imo.

My plan is to create the Browns and go from there The game has a fairly expansive creation mode and I plan to exploit that. But I understand where you're coming from.

I don't think I've ever played 2K5 but it's heralded by a lot of gamers as the best football game that's been made so far. One could just take the time to manually update their rosters but that would take a lot of time and dedication.
