This maybe far fetched and all but after recently reading an article about Tim Tebows faith and how it may effect his draft status among some teams. Article Link I started to think that maybe due to Mike Holmgren's strong faith that he might actually be looking at Tebow based off their similar strong beliefs. Supporting Article Supporting Article 2 I know it may seem crazy but I can see it happening. What do you guys think? Could this be the guy that the President of the Browns wants representing the team?

Could there be a religious connection? Possibly, maybe even probable. But I don't think Holmgren is going to draft him just because they have a religious connection.
you had a good run Hank.

This is too much of a gray area for me to comment any further. However I will say that religion should have no influence on Holgrems decision.

I dunno. Phil Savage said that believing in god counted for him when drafting (because it showed character or something). So at least some people count it.
I'm not going to find an article to prove this, but he said something like that basically. He found that guys who believed in god were better people or something. I'm sure there's someone else on here who can back me up

bah Tebow don't go before late round 2, probably round 3.. But should be more like late 3 to mid 4. But someone will buy into the hype and take him mid 2.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

The problem with Phil is he said one thing and did another. He obviously didn't practice what he preached when it came to interacting with Romeo, as well as the Edwards fiasco.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

IF MH picks Tebow anywhere before the fifth round I will be POed. If he does it because of his religious beliefs, I want a new president.

Whatever. I'm sure everyone will have input, but I guess yeah heckert will ultimately pull the trigger (or will he?). Maybe the guy who wrote the article coulda considered that. These media people daman, you know what they're like...

J/C I think Savage had said people of faith are usually of high character or something along that line. It is true that people who have the "true" faith in the Lord Jesus Christ "not just a belief" do have High character and morals. Not everyone who confesses has the goods. But if you think that MH or TH will draft a player just because they are men of faith....thats being silly. People of all faiths can play the game of football and or have good character and morals. If Mike is looking for people/players to speak at a mens fellowship breakfast at church.....then YES he is looking at men of likewise faith but when it comes to football....Its all about business then.
You dont have to win every game just the next one!

I think that would be crossing the line in regards to seperation of Church & NFL wouldn't it? Come on man, they play on Sundays for God's sake!
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I hope we don't base the decision on that.
I do hope we take the guy because he has pro-bowls in his future.

The last 3 days have changed the way I think it will go and lets look at this situation.
The Question?? to you, and me, The Question I've been asking myself is if They have to stay at 7, HAVE TO and can't trade back into round 1 or any pick before 38 CAN'T then who do they take.
This morning, this scenario hit me as a strong possibility. ( just a fan guessing)
What if 1. St Louis selects Ndamkung Suh 2 A trade, San Fancisco selects Sam Bradford ( Det, gets 13 and 17) 3 Tampa Bay selects Eric Berry 4 Washington selects Joe Haden cb 5 Kansas City selects Tim Tebow 6 Seattle selects Gerald McCoy 7 Cleveland , can't find a way to trade down without completly deserting the 1st round. Cleveland selects Jimmy Claussen 8 9 10 Browns have to wait until pick 38 .
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
