O.k long story short.
I was workign at a job and they fired me for no reason, I filed for un-employment and was granted it. They appealed it twice and I won it both times. They then appealed it again and it went in front of the commission board and my former employer lied and said I just walked out and failed to report to work for three consecutive days. When in reality my lab manager started screaming at me for no apparent reason (because he is a psyco jerk) and he told me to leave and collect my check on pay-day which would have been a week from that time. I was given no reason for the firing my boss was just in a crappy mood that day.
They revoked my en-employment and are now tryign tomake me pay back everythign that was given to me which is over 3,000 dollars. I can appeal it but I have to do it through the court system in the county where I was formerly employed.
I now have a job and i'm not tryign to get my un-omployment back there just no way I can afford to pay back what they are tryign to make me pay back, and I shouldn't have to.
Has anyone gone through this or doesn anyone have any helpful advice I should know about?

You either go to court or pay the money back. I was in the opposite situation where I was denied twice and the commission ruled in my favor. Make sure you get an attorney that charges less than 3k.

Happened to me in February of 09'
Management changed, and they weren't exactly too fond of me (Basically because I would do things not by the book to get sales). I never did anything against the rules, it just wasn't the "right" way to do it.
I was literally 1 minute late one day. I was supposed to be there at 2pm. I clocked in at 2:01. I got fired.
So I guess technically it wasn't for no reasaon. But, it was.

Bro , you just gave two reasons why you were fired . Not doing what you were told and being late.

I've been in management for years, and I would say you are 100% correct.
To the OP, you are gonna have to go to court or pay up. You don't need help from here, you need a lawyer if you wanna keep your money.

That's not true. I didn't do things by the book. I was never told not to do it my way. I just didn't do it the way I was trained. But, I produced results, and that's all anyone cared about up until management changed.
And come on, I was late once (by literally 1 minute) in the little over a year that I worked there.
I never got a written or even verbal warning.
I basically got fired for nothing.

Happens all the time where I used to work. You never met my ex manager. He's a shady character.
Theres been people there that were hired not by him that he just didn't like and he found a way to get rid of them, trust me I know we were friends at one point.
He would either work them to death or he would play other people against them to get them to quit. If that didn't work he would make up some excuse to fire them. Half the time they were false accusations but it was his word against thiers.
I'm just the first person to call them out on it, everyone else I think was scared to do so. He was quite a bit over the top with his personality, i've heard him throw out racial discriminations (he's of middle eastern descent), i've heard him threaten to blow peoples heads off....etc. Only problem is he's a really good liar and being as he's friends with the ownership they believe his word over everyone elses. He even caused one woman to have a complete nervous breakdown. But nothing ever get's get's resolved.
Honestly that company is goign to have a serious lawsuit on thier hands because of him one of these days.

Ohio is an at-will state.
They can fire you for whatever reason they want.
No legal action will come of it.

My main question is can I go to the courthouse and request an appeal myself while I am looking for a lawyer or does an attorney have to do that?
The reason I ask is because I have called like 15 lawyers and about 13 of them won't do that type of case and the other 2 are ridiculously out of my price range and i'm kinda running out of time here.
And I don't care if it's a Joe blow attorney with a minimal track record. I'm fairly confident that this will get reversed. The facts will come out.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I do not think that a lawyer is required at all... you merely need to know what you're doing when you file for an appeal.
I''m fairly certain that you don't simply request it, there is paperwork involved that must be filled out and filed... and there may be a timeframe for that appeal, so you're gonna want to get hopping on it. The main reason for a lawyer is that they are trained and schooled in navigating all of that junk - they know what needs to be filed and when.

clutch...ask the people at the court house if you can file an appeal and how long you have to do so, if you can.
Do not mention anything about a lawyer though and if they ask, tell them you have been and will continue to represent yourself...if they raise the question. Simply tell them you need information about appealing your case.
Next, what happened to you is called unlawful termination...type those words into your search engine and begin reading. Here are 3 links I picked off the 1st page of a quick search I just did.

On these links, they are not recommendations...you will need to check them out for yourself.
Hope this helps..

Happens all the time? Cool, that means there are plenty of people out there in the same boat that can confirm you story.. maybe even get the guy for some illegal practices.. (meaning, you aren't supposed to lie to the commission) so there are penalties for his actions.
Get the rest of the terminated employees together.. hire one bad azz attorney, and turn that guys life inside out...

That's exactly what I plan on doing.
I have already contacted two former employees and they said they would help me out.

They are not taking the case or charging high rates because it is a loser case.
That doesn't mean you can't win. It just means the odds are short.
Attorney's who work this type of deal know when the odds are 51% for and 51% against.....and I am being kind with the odds.
I would say look to negotiate a payment schedule in your favor..
