I'm pumped..... recently have embarked on picking up pieces of autographed sports memorabilia. Figured I wanted to decorate my office with something a little less typical than a framed print and some crap on the walls.

Just received my latest purchase.... autographed photo of Mr. Otto Graham. Rock solid.

Anyone else collect football memorabilia?

I take the kids to get autographs at training camp.

Could have had Dan Ugglas and Hanley Ramirez at spring training in Jupiter Fl. but I was getting a smoke in before the game. Damn cigerettes! I didnt have nothing to sign anyways.

I enjoy collecting football and baseball memorabillia. My current project is getting a Big Red Machine photo of Bench, Rose, Morgan, and Perez signed. I already have both Rose and Bench's signatures and hope to obtain the other two soon.

I'm a huge memorabilia junkie bro.

Once I finish painting my basement, I plan on buying a lot of Becket baseball and football price guides from the late 80's/early 90's. - Very cool, nostalgic, and cheap.

Starting Linup figures are worth next to nothing. Which is great because these make for great memorabilia, and they are cheap. - You can buy figures from throughout the 1990's for next to nothing.

I love buying discounted Mcfarlane figues. - Some I keep, some I give to my nephew.

I'd like to save and get a few really nice autographed baseballs. - Not very expensive if you get marginal players. - Guys like Jim Leyritz, Lenny Barker, Wally Joyner, etc. - Guys who were good in their day, everybody knows about, and again, very, very, inexpensive.

Lately, I have been eyeing a lot of throwback jerseys. - I have Walter Payton, Webster Slaugher, and I'd like to add Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, and Mike Singletary.

In the future, if the money ever comes, I'd love to have an autographed 1986 New York Mets baseball. - So cool. Here's a link to one:

-Ooooooh I want it. I want it! But it costs almost as much as my house payment.

I am not real big on collecting 'graphs that I was not present at the signing of,....I was however subbing at a middle school during the spring following the Miami win when Craig Krenzel was on a "talk-to-kids" tour, and I got his auto on a mini-helmet. Got to thank him for "bringing it home" after waiting since 1968,...

Have a Groza from an auction evening with Lou. He was impressed that I had been in the Marine Corps, and shared his disdain for having had to fight on Okinawa during World War II.

Tressel, now I got to chat with him before he signed his first ever original rookie card for me -- a YSU gameday giveaway -- instantly recognizing my last name, he wanted to know about a distant cousin of mine that he was trying to recruit.

My goofy one is a Mike Pagel,...my old boss in Cleveland, his daughter used to babysit for the Pagel's.

My favorite is a photo of my son with Chris Spielman (at his cousin's commissioning ceremony; I was the MC). I believe his cousin is an F-18 jockey.

mostly basketball. don't care for baseball and i dabble a little bit into hockey and football.

i think i mentioned it before, but i bought a few packs of the bowman '48 basketball cards which i really love the look of them, and i scored an antawn jamison auto, i am telling everyone that is an obvious sign.

I've got a fairly large collection - all Browns memorabilia. Careful, if you get hooked it's hard to stop.

I used to love collecting but the prices got too crazy for my liking. I got most of my signatures on my own, but I bought a few game used jerseys etc.

Back in the day I had around 80 baseballs, an Omar Vizquel game used jersey, a Sean Casey game used bat that he sent me in the mail along with a nice handwritten letter from him. (He is a great guy) a 500 home run club baseball minus the ruth and gehrig sigs and at the time with McGwire being the most current member, sold it all.

All I have now is about 30 8X10 photos of some Browns players I got at training camp over the years, a few game used Browns jerseys I bought at training camp, scored a game used winslow jersey last year, too bad it doesn't amount to squat now, and a few odd things. I don't have the patience anymore to put the time into getting autographs. I used to get to baseball games hours early and wait for hours for players getting oÞf the team bus, leave the game early so to get a good spot along the gate, usually first so when they walked to the team bus after the game I could score a few big names. I don't have the patience to do that anymore.

Hmmm, I have some of those. I'll have to dig them out. I know I have the Topps Magazine First issue.

My son's cub scout leader has an unbelievable collection. My favorite: An authentic Browns helmet signed by every HOF'er but Ozzie.
