Red Dead Redemption looks like a very fun game. It is modeled just like GTAIV and will be using an open world style of play set in the early 1900's in the Old West. I will be purchasing this game without a doubt; who else is on board?

I didn't really like Red Dead Revolver that much... wasn't nearly as good as GTAIII. It was kind of fun but nothing that gets me excited about this game.

Just so you know, Red Dead Redemption is designed just like GTAIV. You won't be controlling multiple characters, there is a huge free-roaming environment with three big areas (said to be even way bigger than San Andreas), you get to hunt and skin animals, and you can bounty hunt. In addition, Rockstar have incorporated a seasonal weather pattern system - which is something I wanted GTAIV to have.

Many media gaming outlets are already claiming this will be the game of the year; but we shall see - the game is still two months away from being released. I hear Mass Effect 2 will be the GOTY but I do not have an XBOX 360 - never played it. I wonder how Rockstar is going to incorporate music into Red Dead Redemption lol.

I agree on seasonal patterns for the gta games, I've always wanted this as well. I mean sometimes there's rain and wind, but I want to see a foot of snow on the ground if you live in NY.

If that's the case I'll probably download the demo and decide. Thanks for the heads-up!
