question for any of you that owned an original xbox....
my cousin gave my son his old xbox when he got a 360....
my son pretty much only plays starwars battlefront I and II
when we try to play a space battle in battlefront II it freezes about 15 seconds in every time....the land based battles are fine....
we are pretty much playing multiplayer split screen and doing quick matches....
is this a heat issue? any ideas on what the problem is would be apprieciated
only other game we've played is halo, and it works fine as far as i know...

Sounds like the problem might only be with the game. So here is what to do. Go to your local rental house, rent the game you are having problems with & try playing the rental copy. If the rental copy works, then simply switch your disc with the rented one. Keep the good one, return the bad one.
Did that several times with Madden discs that started not working for me.
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

That's kinda all I play too. Battlefront II is sweet..but, I play Madden more though

but 1st of all if you have a defected copy its not the video stores fault its the company you got it from and you should return it... and if it happens past the stores return policy then thats your fault for not getting the warranty

At least I got another Madden copy & didn't have to wait. Warranties on Video games are prety much non existant.
Its just getting your moneys worth is all it is.
Go ahead and judge me though. Its cool.
I guess I'm just a terrible person.

hey thanks guys for all the great responses /end sarcasm nothing like seeing 5 new posts and thinking one might help, only to find everyone arguing over video game theft.... tyler at least gave me an idea of something to try....this game isn't ours, but one from my sons friend...if it was in fact a bad disk i would just pick it up at sam's club for 19 bucks.... this just seemed like a hardware problem to me...as there were no scratches on the dvd....

I know that GameCrazy offers a CD repair service...guess they smooth them out somehow. Might be cheaper than buying new.
