I don't mind seeing BQ .. It's seeing Linguini on the sideline that kills me

also, all this reminds me of last season when a Raider fan poster (can't remember his name) came onto the board extolling the virtues of JaMarcus Russell and how he was obviously so much better than Derek Anderson.
well....I sort of want him to come back....just so we can have a debate over who is the worst starting QB in the NFL....and even if Brady starts, well his passer rating is right there with Russell's, so we can still have that debate

I propose a 2 QB look. BQ and DA both look at the game from the sideline!

I only brought this up not as a "Quinn vs Anderson" thread, but more like "Hasn't Mangini seen" enough topic. It seems like only in Cleveland where a guy with a rating below freezing can still keep his job.

Evidently, when BQ was the QB there were guys open down field and he just wasn't getting them the ball.. one can only assume that nobody is open any more... ever.
I remember seeing that on some show on STO. Guys open downfield, but not getting the looks.
DA is obviously not the answer. I guess giving Quinn another look makes the most sense, but he wasn't much better this year. 6 completions for a little over 30 yards against Baltimore? They put 8 in the box and managed to take away the passing game as well as the run.
Here's hoping that if he gets another crack at it, he throws past the line of scrimmage.

I would rather see some 5-yard coimpletions than bullet passes at peoples feet. When I see Anderson throw the ball on short passes, I think of the movie where the guy runs back to the huddle with the ball sticking in his facemask. Just freekin' kills me if it wasn't so true. Oh, and DA really sucks.
Hope springs eternal in the heart of a true Browns fan. GO BROWNS!!!!!

For protection. With the front office turmoil and Quinn so slow going through his reads, he needed taken out. Anderson basically has been taking it on chin to they got to the easier part of the schedule and Quinn's 11 million off the books.
Fact is, hopefully Quinn has figured some things out and can outplay Anderson now, it wouldn't be hard at all. Quinn will have to earn that 11 mill back with good play.

I still think DA can play. He just needs better players around him. With BE here he played really well the one game where they were both together this year. And actually, Momass actually thrived with BE taking coverage away. If we can pick up a legit number 1 in the offseason DA will once again be our QB next year. (IMO, if Bray and Mass were our 1 &2 last year, we would have been a lot better team. Instead of going to battle with BE and Steptoe.) Get used to it Browns Fans!!!!!!
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

I'm just wondering if Mangini doesn't want to ruin Quinn and wants to end the QB debate by letting Anderson start. That way Quinn can take another year to develop while we have aanother season to build the team around him and also get a good draft pick.
I highly doubt that is the case but it's something to think about.

I've never really understood this logic. If he is good enough to start then the opponent shouldn't matter.
