OK, not the biggest name and probably the part of the Braylon trade that makes most just shrug their shoulders or roll their eyes. But he sounds like my kind of player. http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2009/10/jason_trusnik_acquired_from_th.htmlJason Trusnik, acquired from the New York Jets, is coming home By Starting Blocks October 07, 2009, 9:36AM The Cleveland Browns traded Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets today for two draft picks, wide receiver Chansi Stuckey and Nordonia High School graduate Jason Trusnik. Trusnik, who also attended Ohio Northern, was named AFC special teams player of the week for his play last week. Trusnik was a free agent in 2007. He spent most of his time on the practice squad. Last season he spent the first half of last season on the Physically Unable to Perform list with a broken foot. Trusnik started the season with a bang. He earned the special teams game ball. Last week, Trusnik’s forced fumble and recovery on a kickoff set up a Jets’ touchdown. The 6-4, 250-pound Trusnik, a defensive end in college, has adapted to special teams coach Mike Westhoff’s special teams schemes. “Is he the fastest guy down the field? No,” Westhoff said. “But when you get to him, he really gets it. I love him. He’s made plays. He’s made blocks. I have a point scale system that I use and right now he’s off the charts with it.” At Ohio Northern, Trusnick was twice named a Division III All-American and twice named All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

I thought the guy's name sounded familiar when I read about the trade. Turns out he was a freshman at Ohio Northern when I was a senior there. Good luck to a fellow Polar Bear.

Yep.
It's not even that the guy is un-important, i'm just so damn tired of bringing in Jet scrubs.

Reading the Jets forums most of their fans are saying Mangini has helped the Jets more than the Browns by giving them Sanchez and Edwards.

I asked my buddy today if it would be possible if Mangini was still secretly working for the Jets. Man it sure as hell seems like it don't it.

They are in for a treat. Not only is he a whiner but a terrible teammate. He's lazy and doesn't study his playbook. After the 10th false start or drop maybe they'll get to see the real Edwards.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

What would you expect from reading a Jets forum?
Time to do something about your sig, too.

As far as Edwards goes, they only see the potential upside. Give them time and they'll see what many in Cleveland have seen about the downside as well.

You'll get that. Everything that New York had is the best of the best and they'll remind you of it every time. New Yorkers aren't big on admitting they just broke even on a deal, they have to make a killing every time. They'll prove it by giving him a huge contract when it comes time to renegotiate.
Give him time. Edwards will show his stripes in New York just like he did here. He was that way at Michigan, too. A very talented guy with a bit of an attention span problem.
The Browns got rid of a problem that was only going to get worse as the year progressed. He was leaving town any way so at least we got some value out of him.

I always said before the game, are you taking the over or under on Edwards making 1 boneheaded penalty. The house usually would break even because he always makes 1.
I actually want to watch Jets games now to watch Edwards make his one boneheaded penalty and to see if he still got the dropsies. I wouldnt mind seeing their version of the 3-4 anyways.

I know this is going to sound odd, but I hope he has a terrific year in NY.. I want a higher pick... and maybe if he does well enough, he gets us a 2nd instead of a 3rd...

If Edwards has a great career in NY, it won't bother me because we still did the right thing. He was never gonna be happy in Cleveland.

The only play I noticed him on is the 3rd down where he didn't wrap up and the bills almost got the first. If DQ wasn't there they would have. I don't understand why he was in on that play.

I thought he looked no different than pretty much any of our other linebackers.

ha ha not really aimed directly at him i was surprised he was playing.. I was just refering to how bigdawg said he couldnt tell the difference between him and our other lbs. (which sometimes look really bad) but i was actually pretty happy how our d played today. Just tired of those dang qb scrambles that always seem to work.. if Trunsnik can come here and play with such little time on the team and look like our other lbs then he cant be to shabby.
