Well, like I said on the Edwards is a Bum thread,,, who's gonna give us anything of value for him..
I guess we now know that someone would give us something.. what that something is,,, I guess we'll see pretty soon.

Cool, a link. I couldn't find one. This belongs in the football forum now. Boy oh boy, if we didn't get compensated and Braylon turns back into the pro-bowler for the Jets, Mangini will be hog tied and sent back to NY as well. Braylon will only be happy until his buddy LeBron joins him in NY...

Wow someone told me that BE was at the center of all the grievances that were filed against mangini. I hope we got a WR back from them, because if not who is gonna start opposite Momass?

Does it really matter what we got for him? Braylon was an unproductive WR, no matter how much talent he has.
I consider it a huge plus just to get him out of town. What a freaking awful pick he was.
you had a good run Hank.

Well we knew he never wanted to be here..and that comment that he's in the fifth year of his deal should have been clear he would never resign here..

Yeah it matters. If the reports are true and we had the offer from the Giants in the offseason, why not trade him then? Do you really think Momass would have gone off sunday if BE was not on the other side?

Good luck in NY Braylon. Word of advice, when you start getting ragged in the papers and by fans, just shut up and stop dropping footballs. Oh, and don't start throwing punches at Jeter's buddies.

Chansi Stuckey is decent, which I believe is probably more useful than anyone else in this trade.
Still, worth it.

Those 2 picks better be a 2nd and a 3rd at least...
Don't know much about Chansi Stuckey and that LB.

a first? yeah right... don't hold your breath
We needed to do something now or get nothing later, the Jets knew that.
Look at the K2 trade for an example.

trusnick blows...nothing more than a guy like costanzo
stuckey is a marginal pickup at best
those draft picks better include a 1st
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

rowns trade WR Edwards to Jets by Jay Glazer Braylon Edwards won't have to share Cleveland with LeBron James anymore. Sources told FOXSports.com the Jets have traded WR Chansi Stuckey, LB Jason Trusnik and two draft picks to the Browns for Edwards. The Jets haven't discussed working out a new deal for Edwards. Edwards, the third overall pick in the 2005 draft, is currently being investigated for an alleged altercation with a promoter who is friends with Cavs star James in Cleveland Sunday night. He has 10 catches for 139 yards and no touchdowns in four games this season. The Browns are 0-4. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/10181538/Browns-trade-WR-Edwards-to-Jets#

in midseason, doubtful, in FA -yes- a first and third. See the Dallas trade with the lions as an example of what Edwards could be worth

I think MoMass "going off" sealed the deal,....now if 'Biskie steps up, this draft wasn't so bad after all,... plus, the locker room air is a little clearer.

I'd be very shocked if we got a 1st in this deal. Braylon is NOT a 1st round pick in the current state he plays in. We may have spent a first but that doesn't mean he's worth a first.

I've head good things about Stuckey. All he needs to do is catch the ball and he is better than Braylon.

I have no idea what the draft picks are, but for those two guys who seem like simply depth and/or ST guys, it sure seems this FO was willing to let Edwards go pretty easily.
But, we'll have to see what the draft picks are.
In the end, good luck Braylon. I never had anything against you, you just didn't perform like we wanted (except for 2007).
And, boy, Toad's signature just stays relevant, doesn't it?
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Just looking on the Jets site and the fans are singing Mangini's praises .... 'Sanchez and Braylon - he has done more for the Jets since he has gone than at anytime whilst he was here!' lol

Mort was on Mike & Mike this morning and said that the parking in other peoples spaces, the water bottle, it was all Braylon... He also said that the parking in other peoples spaces was a secretary at the facility, it was her spot and Mangini's point was, everybody is important, from the coach down to the secretarys but evidently Braylon thought he was more important than that.
As far as picks, no way in hell there is a first in there... I'm holding out hope for a second next year and a 5th in 2017.
