I didn't see this posted and I thought that this is definitely a feel good story that needed to be shared. Wish more people were like this kid's coach.

Cool story, I see so many parents that lose focus on what high school sports is all about and I think everyone of them that gets so caught up in winning and losing and by how much should have to read this article.

Last night we (Rootstown) lost to Mogadore. Not a big deal,a lot of schools lose to Mogadore. We are down 28 to 7 with :45 left on the clock. Mogadore has the ball at our ten yard line. They kneel down to kill the clock. There were Mogadore parents screaming at the coach for not going for that final TD or for not kicking a FG. As we were filing out of the stadium they are coming from the visiting bleachers still bitching and comlaining about not running up the score as they mix in with our fans walking out from the home bleachers.

Its just sad sometimes and this article confirms my belief that there are still people out there who are teaching sportsmanship and class
