Hi gang. I know it has been a while since I've sat down and chatted with all of you. Once again, I'm coming to you all asking for prayers for Dad. He had another stroke Friday and this one was a bad one. He was life flighted from Salem Community Hospital in Ohio to Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital. Last night after Shonda and Mom left the hospital Dad started vomiting blood. He was still having that issue this morning when they contacted Mom that the Gastroenterologist was wanting to do emergency surgery to stop the bleeding.

I would also appreciate it if everyone would keep me in your prayers because I am getting packed and ready to head back to Ohio tonight. I should be in Ohio sometime tomorrow AM. I will be helping Shonda because she is pretty well done in right now.

I know that everyone will keep Dad in their thoughts and prayers. Hey Mike, can you please find a good passage for Dad? Thanks Dawgs, ya'll are great.

Luckily I got an offer I couldn't refuse. I was going to fly in to Pittsburgh non-stop from MB but my roommate's boyfriend who also lives with us offered to drive me there. Instead of a one-way ticket, I have to pay gas for him there and back. He has family near my family so it's a twofer. I have my bag packed and need to finish getting the little stuff together...brush, books and small cooler of road pops.

I will let you all know more when I next get near a computer with internet.

Oh my Jan,, so sorry to hear this news.. Presby is a great hospital.. very much on par with the Cleveland Clinic.. I'm positive he'll get excellent care.

I'm glad to see that you won't be making the drive alone. That would have been a tough drive to do alone.

It's ok Peen. He is a Reservist in the Army and he has his "weekend" next week. Was tight on cash and felt real crappy about asking me to pay for gas. Since I had been planning on flying one way into Pittsburgh Airport it was actually cheaper having him drive.

I'm staying tonight with Shonda in Cleveland to get a small break before I have to be the adult and take care of the kids.

Dad had a lucid day today but I know that could slip away or it could be a permanent change for the better. I'm praying it is a change for the better.

Lisa, may take you up on that....maybe Mom will let me borrow the car or even Shonda could be arm twisted into chauffering me so we can meet up. Would love to see my neice!
