Hey guys. I've been meeting up with my brother and sister for 1 Browns game a year for the past few years. This year we decided to tailgate and I had couple of questions for you season vets pertaining to parking.

I want to park in the Muni lot and would like to park as close to the front of the lot as possible. So my question is when do people start filing in (7AM?). Can I park overnight so that I can get a spot closer to the front. Any ideas how much parking would be there from Saturday (3PM) to Monday (12PM)??

Any help is appreciated!

I believe they did away with the overnight parking, however for most home games if your there by 6 AM you will have no trouble getting a good spot.

Thanks GM. Anyone know if you can keep your car overnight on Sunday? Or does the no overnight parking pertain to all days? I'm just curious is all.

I'm not sure on that one, as last year you could park overnight. I'm sure somebody around here will be able to get you a answer soon bud.

Last year they put a guard rail up to prevent over night parking, those that do will be ticketed or towed. There is a sign at the Muni Lot that says Open For Browns games at 4am.

As for parking in the most western part. That is the wildest with lot of broken glass after the game. Even during the preseason I drove down there and then changed my mind and headed back to the middle.

The western part also have lots of loud music every 10 feet some with stupid DJ's . The eastern lot is more laid back.

Yeah, if you get there at 4am, you'll definitely have your pick of the parkinglot!

If you want to park that close, make sure you are there before 4am. They wont let you in before 4am but you better get in line. I got my picture taken with the bone lady where you are talking about parking so you will see all the fans that go thru there. Me personelly, I wouldnt want that many drunks walking past me when Im trying to tailgate. There are alot of idiots that get too drunk up there and will try to start fights with ANYONE, even fellow Browns fans. Some groups will get so drunk that they will find any group smaller than then and try to fight or just intimidate them. Its really sad. Parking at the stadium is better if you have kids and just want to relax but it cost $5 more to park at the stadium. Id rather save the $5 and be in a brown and orange Woodstock like atmosphere.

I was at this pre-season game this year against Detroit. After the game we were packing the rest of our stuff. These 2 younger drunks came up to us and asked for a beer, then one for his buddy who was so drunk he couldnt stand then dumped it out anyways when his buddy wasnt looking. The 3rd friend came right up on us with this rage look on his face. He got up in my one buddies face and said "Im pissed for 3 reasons! Reason 1 (pause) then reason 2 (pause)" Fortunatly he never got to reason 3 even though he couldnt think of the first 2 reasons other than he was just a angry drunk who was bored. He was probably mad some girls turned him down or he got put in his place by some fans that got tired of his antics. just some things you have to watch out for in the muni lot

I probably won't go to the Muni Lot again in my lifetime and it's due to our drunken, jerk fans.

That's why I stopped going there too. CapitalGG, SaintDawg and a few others tailgate in the yellow lot to the north of the stadium now. Had a great time there last year - anyone who wants to stop by this Sunday, shoot me a PM. I'm smoking some pork shoulders for pulled pork and making home made baked beans. CapitalGG will be bringing some additional side dishes I believe.

Thats place got to be hard getting out of with fans crossing the street on both sides of the stadium. Muni Lot I'm home 10 minutes after getting back to my truck. .

Oh they are drinking and are drunk in the Gold lot to. I walked thru it the last preseason game. I didn't know the science center was expanding. there goes my short cut behind the Science Museum. Going through the garage this week.

I just park up near the restaurants or the hotel parking if staying downtown as I am the first two trips this year and walk to whatever lot I am planning..I join Hoop and other friends in the muni...some friends who tailgate at river landing area, and Saint, CDwag, a GG in the yellow lot.

If I plan on doing a cooking spread, obviously I park where I cook.

Got to get my walking in even when on trips, so this Sunday I plan on stopping by all 3.

Probably start in the Muni around 7-8....walk over to the flats and hang for a hour or so with Stan and the gang, then try to catch the Columbus crew to say hello before heading to the stadium.

Just carry a flask of Stoli and a bottle of Bloody mix...just drink and share until it is gone. Someone will have a cup and ice I can mooch.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Considering I have a 2.5 hour drive, time really isn't all that important to me

We usually sit around and have a post game beer or two and chat about the game to let things clear out. I've never had a problem with too many people; just too many cars - the road is pretty clear of people the way they route you out.

Peen-
Look forward to seeing you this weekend! I'm making pulled pork and baked beans, there should be plenty.
