November 10, 2009 is the release date for this highly anticipated release by Infinity Ward. My buddy is an animator for Infinity Ward in L.A. and is finishing up his work on the game. If anybody has a PS3 and would like to group up every now and then, my online ID is PrestigeOne - From what I have heard, all 3 modes in this game are going to be fantastic. If you haven't, go reserve your copy now!

Can't wait, COD 4 is the best game ever designed. The multiplayer is nearly seamless, it has little to hacking, except for modded controllers and connection switchers. The gamepaly and gun balance is very good, as is the ballistics and the graphics are still some of the best ever designed for gaming.
Only game i've ever had for several years and its just as fun now as it was when I bought it. Infinity Ward is just flat out and amazing developer. COD MW2 will be a no doubter, awesome game.
Anybody still plays COD 4 on Xbox360....add me to your friends list, gamer tag is: BuckSlayrMiller

World at War had THE worst weapons. I hate all of the weapons except for a few machine guns. However, I love using sticky grenades, flares, and I love calling the dogs; which is much more efficient than the attack helicopter. The maps are so much bigger in World at War; one match I couldn't even spot an enemy on free for all (seelow map).
Mod Warfare 2 has customizable kill streak perks, multiple attachments for primary weapons, and I heard they are getting rid of the stupid martyrdom perk.

Yeah I'm looking forward to this one, as well as Left 4 Dead 2. Not sure which one I'll get first.

Seelow is a camper/snipers paradise. Most of the time it gets skipped.
I don't mind martyrdom in regular matches, but I hate it when clowns use it in Hardcore. You should have 2nd chance/revive.

WAW was a great game only because of the zombie mode, which has slowly gotten old, but still was a great idea and a mega hit. Supposedly the new MW 2 will have a zombie mode of sorts.
I just can't wait to smoke fools with the new weapons in MW 2, and get my kill to death ratio to 3 or 4.

My friend and I got to level 30 at the most recent map without glitching. It was insane. Monkey bombs were very key.

I havent paid the money to get the new maps, I bought the first new map. I think I got to level 33 on the original with just one other person(non glitch). I never found a way out of the original zombie, but lebron now has me thinking, maybe there is a way...gonna go search the web.

Key is to spend every penny you make in the second room, in the mystery box. Get the ray gun, and then the MG or Browning. If both guys get the ray gun, go up stair then, get into a corner, and should be all set to go to level 20 or so, and if the chips fall right, 30ish.

No dedicated servers for modern warfare 2 web page Here are some of the main points which started a major MW2 backlash over the weekend. * We're doing a lot on the backend to make the game accessible for everyone. * There is no delay for the PC version of MW2 * There's prestige mode * Jason West at the MP event, said that he was dead on, on the matchmaking servers. We've been building a system on the backend called IW.NET. * You are completely reliant on IW.NET. There are no server lists. There are no dedicated servers. * You have private matches where you can customize the game * You cannot put MW2 on a dedicated server. * This is the first time we've ever done something like this and the team has huge plans for what IW.NET develops into. * Customizing your game...you have quite a few options in a private match * You're getting same game (as in Console), plus matchmaking and private match. * Server admin point-of view, NO DEDICATED SERVERS

Yeah I read about this yesterday, it also means that the servers will be capped at 16 players. That wont fly for me since I'm used to playing in 48 to 64 player servers. I was already burned by Wolfenstein ( the disappointment of the year for me) and if I wanted to play on a 16 player server located on the other side of the country I would buy an xbox. I'll be better served spending my 50 bucks on L4D2, no thanks Infinity Ward.

yep, i don't think i will be buying....there is an online petition floating around...has over 100,000 sig's by now for sure...
i think i'll be waiting to see if they patch it, or i'll wait for the new battlefield game....
totally stupid...multiplayer will suck...16 players if you got a killer connection...and everytime someone in your house does anything with the net, you'll have lag...
one guy called it "modern airbourne"....fitting title...
Attitude is everything....FEAR THE ELF!!!

i take it most of you are console gamers....
this game totally screws up the computer players....and i'll tell all of you what, the computer is the way to go for fps's...
all those maps you pay for.....there are thousands for free made by mappers....modders make the games play longer with new and inovative ways to play the games....
and all of that was stopped, so they can set it up to charge money....
now multiplayer is gonna be 8 vs 8 and lag like hell when your sister plays a youtube vid...
no thanks infinity ward...i'll maybe buy it when its in the bargain bin next to MoH Airbourne...
i'll go play Cod 4 or 5...my mainstay MoH spearhead, and some BF2
Attitude is everything....FEAR THE ELF!!!

Modding is what makes PC gaming great. It keeps the games fun. I was looking forward to MW2, I'll wait to the price drops. Not worth the 60 bucks if the online play will suck.

My friend works for Infinity Ward and I believe he helped to create these new servers. Anyways, I'm sure console gamers will agree that the console platform servers are relatively fast and pretty darn reliable; in my opinion they are great. I have not played a game on the PC since Star Wars Galaxies went the way of the dodo but I'm still bummed for the hardcore Modern Warfare PC gamers.
I'll tell you guys this though, don't worry too much - just try these new servers out and in the longrun - you will be pleased.

It was also confirmed today through a rep at IW that one of the options in private match games is 3rd person view. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/103/1038859p1.html

Zombie dogs? lol Geez, what else can Treyarch come up with? Maybe adding another map pack? Hell, they created three different downloadable map packs; I only purchased the first one. I'm going to love MW2; primarily for the new weapons, equipment slot, attachments, and perks (including kill and deathstreaks)

I can't wait for the new "special ops" co-op mode. This mode is gonna feature specialized missions that range from protecting someone, to clearing a building, or a sniper mission.
Every game site and tv show seems to think that the new co-op is just gonna blow everyone away.

Spec Ops will be very good....25 unlockable missions and maps. One of the missions is like the "Death From Above" mission from COD4. One person is on the ground and has to fight his way to a destination point while the other player is providing air support

Yeah Swenson's is pretty damn good, from what I can remember. I currently live in Orlando though so don't hate me Lebron. Let's get back to MW2.
Anybody check out the "Overwatch" spec ops vid on themodernwarfare2.com ?

i don't hate ya, i'm just not going to shake your hand.
hahaha
yeah i think i have watched every video on this game. i think it's going to be awesome. i may have to play mw1 this weekend on single player just to get myself even more jacked up for mw2.
the online on mw is sooooooo good that you always forget how good the single player is. i played and beat the single player before playing a lick of online, then never played the single player again. time to go through the missions.
i'm just debating on what system to get this, does anyone know if one has an edge in graphics/extras/etc?
p.s. please don't turn this into a fanboy war.
best way to avoid the fanboy war? buy both systems and laugh at the dorks.

I just played MW mulitplayer modes after a 7 week hiatus and it is one fast FPS. I have to get used to the speed of playing online again so I won't stink it up in MW2.

i usually do ok, every once in a great while i will be the top scorer, and i'm sure my ratio is awful, but it's still a load of fun.

Yeah, I got into call of duty 4 kind of late, so I'm really looking foward to this one. Plus I think Infinity Ward is behind this one also, which should make it twice as good! Can't wait to play it

Alright guys, here it is....the tip of the ice berg...25 kills in a row - without dying will give you a tactical nuke killstreak perk (if you have unlocked it and if you have it chosen as one of your three killstreak perks to use). I don't know what to think about this. I rarely see people get a killstreak of 25 but it is possible; and it will be even more possible now with all of the killstreak perks. Here is the kicker, if you have the care package chosen as one of your killstreak perks (you still have a chance of obtaining this nuclear strike, but it's a very very very slim chance) http://www.themodernwarfare2.com/

Sounds pretty cool but a 25 kill streak is much tougher to come by in a 16 player server.

I agree, it's very hard. My highest killstreak was 20 or 21.
