Chicago White Sox pitcher Bartolo Colon is scheduled to make a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday. Problem is, the White Sox don't know where he is.

"I know where he is supposed to be right now. He's supposed to be in Charlotte, preparing to start Thursday," White Sox GM Ken Williams said Tuesday, according to the Chicago Tribune. "Efforts to contact his agent have been successful. Their efforts to contact their client have not been so successful."

I know it's not really right to make fun of a guy who not only was fantastic for us while we had him, but then got us a bounty of young prospects who are now all contributing while he fell off a cliff (though that trade is part of how Shapiro got labeled a 'genius' and we are seeing that not bear fruit)

anyway......he's on the White Sox, so he's fair game.....

where do you think he is?

My guesses:
1. Still recovering from Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest over the weekend
2. Refusing to leave the Golden Coral until he gets 'all he can eat'
3. Drinking Red Stripe on a beach in the Dominican while commanding a small army of peasants to do his bidding (namely, to retrieve and cook him food).

Hope it's nothing bad.

The last game he pitched was the game he gave up back-2-back jacks twice (to the Tribe). I was sitting in the front row of the Sox dugout. After his last inning and he was coming towards us I yelled out, "Bart, you left something on the mound.........can the right fielder please pick up Bart's hoagie as he runs in?"

I hope that didn't send off on a bender.

Hope he's alright.

My guess would be hanging out with Crennel at the local Hometown Buffet.

He's trying to get his buddy to hook him up with some juice

Speaking of beer; yesterday I picked up a 4-pack of Dogfish Breweries Palo Santo Marron and this beer after one sitting is one of my favorites.

From their website:

Quote:

An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree" and it's wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.

This beer is a 12% abv, highly roasty, and malty brown ale aged on the Palo Santo wood. It was a huge hit at our Rehoboth Beach brewpub when first released in November of 2006, Palo went into full production at the end of 2007.

At 10,000 gallons, our Palo Tank is the largest wooden brewing vessel built in America since before Prohibition (and we have two same-sized Oak tanks right next to it).

web page

This beer is so strong you will start to feel a buzz before you are even through your first beer!!! And though it has a VERY HIGH alcohol content--you really can't tell. It is smoothe and sweet and has a very strong caramel, vanilla, and slighlty smoky flavor.

An AMAZING beer. But at $14.99 a FOUR pack---its not a beer you can afford to drink every week let alone everyday. Though it is well worth the money. I had two beers last night and I was surprised how well it lit me up. I have got one more saved in the fridge for later tonight.

I would reommend that any beer fanatics that read this go to the nearest specialty beer store right now and pick up four for yourself and you are in for a great night ahead of you.

B/c of this beers thickness it may be a better beer for winter time---but is stil amazing no matter the time.

I hope he's OK, too.

In case of emergency, his blood type is Ragu.

Sorry, I was in the first row BEHIND the Sox dugout.

Put it this way, I was close enough to Bart that I had to hide the hot dog I was eating for fear he might reach over and grab it.
