It appears that Clapton and Winwood are going to play here in Tampa later this year!

What a great show that will be.....it could be the only Florida show for the season........WOW!

I have a feeling they will be jamming with some BLIND FAITH as well as other blues stuff!

I have seen the schedule and they do have a few different OHIO dates......what a show it will be!

I saw Traffic (without Dave Mason) open for the Grateful Dead years ago. Great show, though it was Traffic so they had a good catalog of songs to choose from. More recently I heard from good friends that his performance they saw last summer was god awful.
Hopefully Clapton brings out the best in him this time around. Drawing off Blind Faith's album should fill much of a show. Hopefully Winwood leaves the "Higher Love" 80's stuff in the bag and draws from the John Barleycorn years.

I had the fortune to stand in line to buy tickets for the show in C-Bus for my parents. Monday night I will be blessed to drop them off AND pick them up afterwards. When I'm not bottle-feeding and changing diapers that is.

Please tell me how the show is, Columbus Dawgs . . .

That seems like an odd pairing to me. It will be a great show however!

ONE WEEK UNTIL CLAPTON/WINWOOD in CBUS...

If its anything like the Madison Square show out on DVD it will be excellent.

However, I would like to hear more of Eric's collection than Winwoods....

praying for the Voodoo Chile cover and possibly Old Love, River of Tears, or any Cream songs besides the usual Crossroads.

I don't know why I'm joining the discussion, already said I can't go. But yeah, I would love to hear several Cream songs and Crossroads wouldn't be one of them.

Just a few days before your time young lady...Clapton and Winwood played in a band by the name of Blind Faith, that seems to be the reason they are touring together..to make us old folks happy! LOL

It should be fun indeed!

In a word.. superb. Winwood is a very good guitarist, but when you are on the same stage as Clapton, well.. you know how that goes. I loved the version of Georgia on my mind that Winwood did on the concert grand piano.

Yanno, hearing Clapton play Voodoo Child was amazing.. the band was tight.. it was all good. Easily a top 10 show and I've seen quite a few in my time.

Played a few things from the Traffic years like Drifting away,

Can't find my way home and Layla were double accoustic by both guys. You could hear a pin drop the crowd was excellent during the accoustic stuff.

Wow, what a great show.
