I was at the game last night and all I have to say is wow. The atmosphere in that place was simply awesome.
I bet it was. Probably the biggest and most exciting game I ever attended was the Reds in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Pirates. The owner of the tool and die shop where I worked gave me tickets that were 3 rows up from the field behind the Pirates dugout. When Ronny Oester scored the game winning run late it was incredible. Absolutely electric. I think I slapped more high fives then than there are people here in Springfield. ....when Ronnie scored, when we won, down the stairs to parking, hanging out the window of my Brother-In-Law's car while inching down Vine Street...lmao.

Yes that was the same kid, he was right behind Mo when he inbounded and after the shot he was actually standing on the court,I have a feeling he is the kid of someone who works for the Q or THE CAVS.
KING
Yeah, I thought so king. What a thrill for him (and everyone!!).
Thanks for the vid candy. I love the comments at youtube. I think I'll to extract the audio and use it for a mix.
Rushiz....nothing wrong with fandom. I've been pulling for the Cavs since probably World B Free dayz. Mark, Brad, Larry, Hot Rod etc were so close.
Our offense ain't a mystery. Ben and Varejao are probably good for what, 10 or so between them. Mo will score. Z, Delante, Joe, Pav and Zerb can all find their spots, but it's the D from them that needs to be smart and relentless. I'm afraid even with that the Magic will still be in the 90s or better. LeBron stated as much about the lack of defense in his on court post game interview. Sunday will be the first game that I have actually seen in this match up and that is what I am looking for.

Sorry gang, for as confident as I was going into this series, I firmly now believe that this series won't make it back to Cleveland and Orlando will advance.
I'll admit it.
Actually, I already did in the other Cavs playoff thread. I said I wanted Boston to win the series because I thought we matched up better with them versus Orlando.

OOPS!
I copied the wrong quote from Rish.
I meant to copy the quote where he talked about people not admitting that this is a bad match up for us.
I know it's coming back to Cleveland, lol. Somebody else didn't earlier, though. They thought the next 3 were in Orlando.

Yeah, which is why I said I wanted Boston to win the series.
My dad got mad at me when I said I wanted Boston to win it...... now he knows why.

there's no doubt that we're 2-0 right now going back to boston if that was the case.
however, i also believe that we have a better chance of winning in orlando than boston. just my opinion. our history with them the last few years doesn't bode well. i believe we did win in orlando last year, and the year before even though our record against them isn't great.

I wonder how long Gilbert will stay in as our majority owner. It was obvious he tried to cash in on Lebron when he bought the team in 05. Now it's not going his way financilly, I wonder if he's thinking about getting out down the road. It's tough trying to run a sports franchise in Cleveland as if you were in a New York or Los Angeles market. That's what the Cavs have been doing the past few years with the cap and luxury taxes. Lebron or not, no other mid-size market is spending like that. If Gund or Usher don't want to supply capital, they need to go.

I think he will end up selling the team down the road. I think this is just the beginning of him on the way out.

I hope he's not on his way out.. he has been one of the best owners this city has ever seen.
I think he's just trying to market the Cavs in China a little more as this Chinese business man is known for linking American companies with China. He needs to do something because of all the spending he's been doing the last couple years. This is what hope at least.

Just saw this on SportsCenter... http://www.newsnet5.com/video/19549837/index.htmlIt's the anchors on Channel 5 reacting to The Shot. Pretty funny...

From what the AP is reporting, they're not taking over Gilberts "shares" of the team, they're taking over Gilbert's business partners. He's (Dan) keeping his entire stake, which is obviously a good thing.
What it will do is provide an infusion of capital that they can use to continue to make improvements and REALLY go after a big name this off-season. I view this as Gilbert saying, I don't care what it takes, we are winning a title next year (if it doesn't happen this year). By bringing on new ownership, it will give the Cavs the ability to essentially have a blank check during this important stretch / window. Now, they can't be careless, but they'll have every resource at their disposal (pretty important given the timing of LeBron becoming a free agent).
It's also a no-brainer in terms of marketing. It kind of pulls the rug out from under a team like NY. China DWARFS the NY market. With Chinese ownership, it positions the Cavs to have a Houston Rockets type presence in the country and also keep LeBron in Cleveland (hopefully) his entire career.
All in all, don't think it was even a decision in all honesty. It makes too much sense.

Orlando could easily open the flood gates and end this game quick. LeBron is missing shots and our D looks putrid. Dwight has 2 fouls though.

We match up awful against Orlando...
Cue LBJ to come in and tell us how how are still the best team in the NBA lol....
LeBron needs to be guarding Rashad Lewis. I've been saying that all series.
Ben Wallace needs to play more, and guard Dwight Howard. Z is too damn soft to stay with Howard.

I had an odd feeling this was going to be a blowout win for Orlando. Like that one regular season game we lost by 29. The Cavs better wakeup.....we HAVE to win one in their house. And I don't want to wait for game 6....if it makes it that far

With Dwight out the cavs need to attack the hell out of the magic inside.
They are playing on there heels right now and if they don't wake up this could be ugly quick when Dwight does get back in.

Well it's a good thing the Magic are so demoralized after Fridays lost otherwise they'd have a huge lead by now.

Sloppy, sloppy play. Good news is we're only down 6, and Howard is half way there to fouling out. Take advantage of that, Lebron. Take it to the hole.

The way that the refs have been calling fouls on both sides of the ball suggests that they are really trying to put their mark on the game, and I think that it is really ruining the game.

Who the hell do you think you are to talk to me like that? Look, he's selling part of the team. Who's to say he won't sell the rest?! It's my opinion that he might sell the rest as he's in over his head. That's just MY opinion. If you don't like it, too bad! I don't care if you're a ref or not, you have NO business talking to me like that! I don't care who owns the team, as long as we win!

I think you may be taking it too far. Did he really mean that towards you, before you get bent out of shape?
I took it as him not being happy about them selling part of the team, and not dissing you on your opinion.

Dawgpound was right I wasn't happy about the selling part of the team, and I'm not dissing you on your opinion. Oh yeah FYI it's a open forum and I can whatever the heck I feel like as long as it doesn't break a rule.

I'm sorry if you think so! But it was very uncool of him to say that as he did. Im not bent out of shape. It was very low of him to say it like that. I've been here since the beginning and I'm not going anywhere because of him.
