My beloved Sammy has left us. He began to convulse and shake this afternoon in my oldest daughter's arms. We took him to the vet who basically told us that he was too far off and would only get worse. He was the most insane, mixed Shepherd you would ever want to own. We loved him, I loved him, and We will miss him dearly....

i'm really sorry to hear that, and like i tell everyone that loses a pet, there are so many out there that need homes, maybe you can make one your own.

Man I feel your pain.. it's really tough.. I know.. Been there and it hurts. leaves a big hole where something important used to be.

My sincerest sympathies  I just went through it (again) back in December and it is always a heart-wrenching thing to do.

Mike,I am very sorry to hear about your loss. The great thing about pets is their unconditional love. They don't care what you look like...or how much money you have in the bank.
Theres nothing like coming home and having ( insert pet name ) just wagging his/her tail waiting for you.
I had to put down my Black Russian Terrier, "Winkie" back in the summer...he was 17 years old.
Never never easy to say goodbye.

I've lost 2 in the last 3 years. And one of the remaining two doesn't have long. It never gets easier. My advice is after you lose one, if you can, go out and find another one to love. Especially if you rescue one, it helps to fill that void. I've almost always had a dog around and can't imagine what it would be like without them.

I want to thank all of you during this rough time we are going through. The hardest part for me out of all of this was the decision to let him go. I sincerely thank you all for your kindness and friendship..I love you all....I will be agressively looking for another family member sooner than I would want, but nothing can ever replace my friend......

So sorry to hear of your loss. I had to put down one of my kitties, my baby, last month and it was the worst thing I've ever had to do. She was only 10 years old.
It will get easier as the days pass. You'll never forget your friend and the memories you have will always make you smile.
