O.k I need some good minds out here..I was able to lsiten to KNR until they udated their stream. I have been trying to connect with no success..but learned I should try downloading AdobeFlash player..well I can't because the error message says I need Admin rights which obviously I don't have nor can get..anyway around this?
You might try VLC . I am not sure, but I do think you can set it up to play streaming content. Despite what I am sure would be the disapproval of the IT folks at work I was able to install this on a XP machine there (no admin rights).
just looking at the source code very quickly, it looks like the player is all javascript driven, so I would make sure that your javascript is up to date first. it doesn't appear that a flash player is being utilized.
Crowded elevators smell different to short people...
I tried watching a youtube vid through VLC and it did work (v.0.9.2). Via VLC go to....
Media > Open File > Network tab > copy / paste the site's url > Play
I also tried this at espn.com which has multiple video choices at their home page and it did not work. I would guess that the trick is to have the exact url of the video. I would also guess that this would work if javascript was disabled, but of course not if the page was blocked.
