Well, I became a victim of a bad economy about a week before Christmas. I'm obviously looking to get back on my feet, and I'm looking for general tips.

I've got my resume out to those who offered up help first. I figure that works best. I'm perusing the ads on Cleveland.com/Plain Dealer and then CareerBoard.com. I'm not trying to kill myself on those yet, since they tend to be a bit random, IMO.

I've also spent time working on the NorthCoast 99's companies looking at their openings, which has been okay.

Any other recommendations out there???

Have you thought of relocating? I moved to CA 20+ years ago and never looked back. There are jobs and opportunities throughout the west and southwest. And there are Brownsbackers clubs everywhere. Maybe it's time to make your move. Good luck.

I feel ya man. I have been in the same boat,,laid ff since Nov 22nd. But in my case I will be recalled eventually but don't have a clue when. Tried to get into a management promotion that opened up too and found out Tuesday that I didn't get it

I have been thinking hard about getting my resume out there, but I start school Jan 12th again and that's not good when starting a new job so I am hanging on to what I have. It's real rough though and we are hurting

Plus Ohio Unemployment has a bunch of idiots working there,,which is a whole other story.
