so we have 5 TEs on the team... only 4 WRs... anyone find this odd? I know there are some injuries but why can't we just have 2-3 TEs... guys that actually perform all the duties of the job.

official website says we signed Jed Collins to our roster.....number 44?
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Not really. TEs serve as short yardage blockers and they are usually built well for special teams... whereas a WR is really only asked to do one thing (if only 1 of our 4 could do it.. )

Our TEs are better than our WRs.
Pretty simple math to me.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

Nice little dig at winslow there..
i dont see why winslow gets put in the category of edwards as a non-productive player. he had the one issue this year of talking to the media...but that guy goes out there game after game and plays hurt, takes hits and keeps getting back up and going for it.

Just a wild hair here. What if we went with a single back, 4 TE lineup? We could bring them all in and go with a goalline type O and pound the ball with Lewis or spread KWII and Rucker out creating mismatches. I mean what team has 2 Cbs big enough to cover these 2? I think it would confuse the defenses for a game or 2 like the wildcat did. But then they would figure it out and adjust rendering it ineffective like the wildcat has become. Although you never know. Like I said, just a wild hair but feel free to call me an idiot all you like
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

It would only work if we already had the lead. Plus teams would know when they would be passing out of it.

I always thought with Winslow and Rucker we could effectively run a 2 TE 2 WR set.
Of course now, i think we can do that better with Heiden and Rucker.
Winslow has the ability but he's souring on me. His bad route running is very apparent this year.

as mentioned injuries to two...and actually Heiden has been playing hurt as well.
We got 4 more or less healthy WRs...of course with Stallworth thats pretty much an Oxymoron
Hubbard/Sanders/Leggett - would be on the Inactive list for the game if brought up...thats why they are there.
One of the 2 of the 5 TEs have a possibility and definitely ONE will be on the INACTIVE LIST...we just don't know which one cause Injury is the deciding factor.
I think KW2 is OUT already???
Not a factor to wonder about the coaching staff and do they know what they are doing - or Savage for that matter.
