Hey guys, i don't know if anyone else bought the 3 DVD set "Cleveland Browns 3 Classic Games" but i just got mine today and it has a bit of a problem.

it is supposed to have the Dave Logan game, the opening day rout of the steelers from 1989 (which i am watching now) and the 2002 playoff clincher game vs. atlanta. i tried to put in the 2002 game, and although it is printed properly, the 1989 game is what is on the disc!

i sent an email to amazon about it, so i will see if they had any more complaints.

anyone else have this? is yours wrong?

this steelers game is great!

I had that exact problem when I bought it the first time. I got two Dave Logan games...I didn't get the 1989 Pittsburgh Stomp (which I was dying to watch).

I got a new copy which has all the different discs, but the labels are wrong! Go figure.

Somebody in a big hurry to do it wrong instead of correct the first time; ultimately costing the producer more than the money he tried to save in the first place,....and then probably in China,....

The American Way,...

Hope they're good in the meantime though; please continue the reports,...

Any chance the 64 game is on there,...?

Unfortunately no, it's 3 games. 1980 Dave Logan game against the Packers, '89 blowout of the Steelers, and the '02 run william run game.

1980 Dave Logan game against the Packers,

hey look for me, I'm in the upper deck I was 16. My sister & her husband took me & my cousin, We sat in the upper deck drinking hot choclate with the wind coming in over the lake hitting us in the face.....and I would do it all over agin to feel that feeling with 26 seconds left seeing Logan jump over the defender, catch the ball and score, we went absolutly crazy.....

Something I noticed about that and the 1989 game...

How come no one in the stands were wearing jerseys? The number of jerseys in CBS and the Ketchup Bottle are amazing, yet you're lucky to find one in the stands in those games.

The way Muni was shaped with the wind coming off the lake, even in August it was windy and a chance of snow flurries, Jeresy's are light and not long sleeved so they dont keep ya to warm. ...god I loved that place....

The lack of jersey's in the old days was from a lack of fan based merchadise, as I recall finding a Browns hat was major accomplishment, I remember going to games in concert t's and flannel shirts, and as I've said in the past, "I'm going to a football game, not a freaking fashion show!!!!" in this day and age there's much more to choose from to wear to the games.

So true and as you said even a decent cap was was hard to come by. Of course now the League has an "official" series of garb each year. When jerseys did come regularly available I remember them being fairly expensive for the times. I can still wear my Clay jersey, but even more amazingly is that the printed numbers are still intact after thousands of washings.

ClayM57....amazon probably offers free shipping (they usually do for items over $25). Obviously the problem with that is if you receive a set that does not come as advertised.

Man Oooorah, I wish. I have often wondered if the League or anyone has the complete game. A quick Google revealed this:

NFL Films special order

According to NFL Films, the entire game is not available. I would imagine that is completely true since since I do not think TV was using video tape on a regular basis in 1964 ( a brief check found that the oldest existing video tape was from CBS in 1957).

I was very pleasantly surprised to find the first Monday Night Football game at TenYardTorrents. This Browns home game against Joe Willy's Jets was aired on 9/21/70. The divx files offered at TYT were actually decent quality and I have since converted them to DVD for my own archival preference. For what it is worth, I recently checked some of TYT's older games and found a "Film Session" of our 1986 2OT playoff game against the Jets. While I have that game, this version apparently includes comments / interviews. The downloading is very slow, but at least someone is seeding it.

I am very much looking forward to getting this DVD set!!

Thanks, Maddog,....we all know what the highlights are,.... I can't believe CBS doesn't have an archive of this. NFL Films might not, but CBS has to.

Even a tape of just the radio broadcast would be something to have.

I finally finished downloading this (only one seed and it was intermittent) and what an incredible review of the game. This is an outstanding NFL Network production complete with interviews, some radio calls and a good NFL Film narration. I highly recommend the download. The torrent was buried in one of their topics, but if anyone would like a link to the thread, let me know. Please note that TYT's tracker is private and you will have to register to see the thread and download the vid.

I will seed so there should be some type of dependable download.
