I wasn't sure what this forum should go in, but considering that we're looking ahead at next week but reflecting on the Giant's performance, and being that it's a season issue, I figured that we should put this here. So................

I woke up this morning with a major dilema. Ryan Tucker and Hadnot on our right side were very successful. They did great lastnight, besides the fact that Hadnot got all those penalties (moron). Hadnot did very well pulling a few times and he did well blocking in general as well, run and pass. it seemed that Tucker might be better than Schaffer at RT too.

So what do you guys think, if Tucker looks better than Schaffer and Hadnot continues to do well at RG and cuts the mistakes, do we keep these two?

Or should we play Schaffer and Tucker, cut down on the mistakes, probably lose a bit of our edge run blocking, and may be even be poorer at pass blocking as well.

Based on how our line looked last night (penalties aside), I don't see how we can justify making a switch. Against one of the best pass rushing teams in the league, I can't even recall a time when the Giants interfered with DA's ability to throw the ball. He had all day to throw on every dropback. Compare that with the other games where he was hurried and rushed into bad decisions and the answer is obvious. If our line performs best with Shaffer on the bench, then so be it.

I don't know what the right answer is, but it's a damn good problem to have

If it ain't broke, why try to fix it or change it? Last night the O-line played it's best game of the year against arguably one of the best D-lines in the game. Why change anything? Let Schaffer get the time he needs to recover from his concussion. Those motion penalties did get annoying though.

And the next head coach is ......

Shaffer is a better tackle when Tucker is lined up at guard. Our offensive line was very solid last year that way. Hadnot was clearly the weak link last night with his penalties. I want to see the same line we had last year; Shaffer, Tucker, Fraley, Steinbach, Thomas. Hadnot belongs on the team but I'm not that sold on him as a starter yet.

It wasn't just last game either with Hadnot, how many penalties does he have just by himself this year? I'm not sure if he just wants to get up and maul someone or he can't hear, but the dude is always jumping ...

He's the lone new guy on an established line... I wonder if he is still having to think a little too much whereas the others just already know.

Tucker sure made a positive influence on the line. Either way, Tuck is on the field, the choice is between Schafer and Hadnot.

I like the idea of going back to last years formation, afterall, Hadnot was brought in as an insurance policy.

I'd prefer the Tucker RG, Shaffer RT tandem but I will say that having two maulers until Shaffer gets back does not hurt!

I hate to do it, but I agree with you here. I love Tucker, and he really changes the offensive line, but him and Shaffer performed well together last year. I'm not a Shaffer fan, but Hadnot couldn't cover up his problems in pass protection like Tucker could.

as I sat there, scratching my head Monday night, I was thinking the exact same thing. How many times did that dude's number keep coming up?

He's a keeper but I don't necessarily want to see him as a starter, yet. Tucker's days are numbered but for now he's the best right guard we've got.

Chuck Norris might be a problem in the locker room though. He doesn't take showers... only BLOOD BATHS!

If Norris lined up at RT Monday night, DA would have been sacked 40 times in that game. Ryan's DA MAN

Yeah, but after Norris killed off all the defensive players on the roster we could literally just march down the field like a halftime show. "Hup, two, three, four, mind the bodies, boys, we're heading for the promised land."

I'm excited to see what Shaffer and Tucker can do for the offense. I'm hoping it cuts down on the penalties.
