Why does BrownsFanZ have an asterisk my his name when on the "who's online" list? I figure it's a glitch but a weird one since he seems to be the only one who shows up like that.

Because he has listed an ICQ number in his profile and the site is having trouble loading the ICQ Status image.
The result is that it puts out a broken image placeholder with the ALT text where there would normally be an 'x'.
