Was wondering if anyone knew how to get the named rosters without having to buy it and wait for them to ship it. I have been playing it and named the players on my team, but with Madden out, I was hoping to get the right names for the draft classes. Any site where I can download it straight to the harddrive for my PS3 would be great, or if someone has the named rosters and can get online with their PS3, I could get the rosters off of them. Please comment back or send me a PM if you have any info, thanks.

Not sure if the PS3 works the same as the 360, but if you can get online with your PS3, just download them from someones EA Locker.

You can get them from the EA Locker, but the person you are downloading from must be on your friends list. I also tried the EARosters com tag and it says there wasn't one.

The person does not have to be on your friends list. Go here and follow the instructions.

I have 360 so it may be different, but on XBox live you don't have to be on their friend list.

any 1 of those 3 psn id's have the rosters. You do not have to have them as friends.

I was playing NCAA yesterday and the CPU kicked a field goal and it bounced off the crossbar and missed and it was caught by my returner. The next play the CPU had the ball at their own 35 yard line with a first down. Anyone else run into a glitch like this?

I have a question for anyone who plays this game ...

How do you play defense? Especially online?

I've got my offense figured out, where I can nickle and dime yards off and sustain a decent drive downfield. Hitting the big yard gains seems a little difficult, unless you want to risk an interception ... but I've pretty much got the offense down.

Defense is a whole other story. I have no answer. In NCAA '07, you could edge blitz really well, and either run outside the tackle, or cut back in to get a sack. Now, it seems as if they've installed black holes on the offensive line, that suck you in if they touch so much as a fingernail. Breaking a block gets pretty tough too ... once you're engaged, you're hosed. Now granted, I play most of my games the Idaho Vandals ... who suck. But I was able to play decent/great defense with them in '07 because of the linebacker rush. Now, I can't do anything but watch offenses march on me, and then hope my offense keeps me in the game.

Any defense gurus out there?

I use various defenses.

I like the 4-3 a lot, I sprinkle in a little nickle and some quarter. I play coverage with my safety pretty much and let the CPU rush the QB. Overall the game is pretty easy this year, stopping the run is very easy, 3rd down pass defense is usually where I end up giving up the most.

Stopping the run is easy? Are you playing with Georgia everytime?

Like I said before, I'm playing with #119th ranked Idaho, so maybe that's part of the problem (okay, that probably IS the problem) ... but in '07, I could at least hold my own with the defense. Now they score everytime. Curl routes kill me every time on pass defense. I get killed on the run, because once I get locked up by a blocker, I can't do anything.

About the best I can do is either play RE or MLB. With the RE I can attempt an outside speed rush. For some reason, they do better than OLBs, who just seem to get eaten up this year. I'm occasionally able to cause the QB enough distress to occasionally throw a bad pass. In '07, this was the defensive key. I could get in on a QB so fast with a OLB rush, that they either got sacked or threw a bad pass. Now they nerfed it so bad, blitzing a linebacker is worthless.

My other option is to play MLB and just spy the running back, which is better against a running team. I'm able to defend the run a little better, but get killed on the passes. Okay, sure, maybe this is a lot more realistic ... but this is a video game dammit! I want my 7 sacks a game!

I have a season with michigan on Heisman and a season with Toledo on All American, I have to move the sliders up for the CPU and my tackling down to help them with the run.

but yeah, using Idaho is probably the main culprit as im sure their rush D isnt fantastic.
