Just a quick computer question. My computer is on it's last leg and before it completley dies on me, I'd like to email myself about 3 gigs of music.
Are there any sites out there that someone could recomend for me doing this? Or at least a better way of me doing this? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

That would take along time.
Can you not record them on DVD's? A USB thumbdrive, or a USB Hard Drive?
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

I dont think I can burn DVD's on this computer. I'm not the most computer savy person, however.
I just checked and its 5.7 gigs, so I'm thinking a USB hard drive might be my best bet. Where is a good place to get them either online or in a store?

Yeah, your best bet is going to be buying a few USB thumbdrives and just copying the stuff over. If you know anything about the internal workings of a computer (which I'm guessing you don't) ... you could take out the harddrive itself and just put it in your new computer.

Interesting, thats good to know.
I have an HP laptop which I've had for about 6 years. It still works great but the last year or so the power cord hasn't been working right and sometimes it just dies on me and I have to spend a decent amount of time just to place the power cord just right so I can get it on again.
I'm afraid one day it just wont turn on again, so I'm glad to know that if that happens all my files wont be lost. Thanks!

That sounds like a simple loose solder connection... could probably be repaired pretty easily.

This is why I store EVERYTHING on external hard drives. Computer crashes and everything is intact. I strongly recommend just making this a normal process going forward. Nothing worse than a computer dying and you lose everything or have to pay some tech guys to recover it.

J/C, I love Newegg too. I bought all my parts for my new computer off of there and everything came pretty quick. I even ended up buying my digital SLR off of their site. Great service, great prices, and quick shipping.

Hint: Your external drives can (and eventually WILL) crash too.
If it is only 3-4GB of data (or <8GB for dual-layer), your best bet for long-term protection is to back it up to an external drive for ready accessibility, but also burn it to a DVD.
