I cannot believe that even with no phone I was able to find my address online. Not only that but I put in my parents name in another state and it listed some of his relatives including me. I'm sure probably some people don't care but I think this sucks

At least I can find a few old buds from college I lost track of

zaba pulls from county property records too. I never got a lot of use out of it when I needed info for work.
What is it 20 bucks to block your record? Might be worth it if you're concerned.... but then again there are plenty of other sites pretty similar!

Well that's good then...maybe I was overeacting. I just saw the story on the news tonight and they were saying that most of your info could be bought for the 49 dollars or whatever.

I don't think you were over reacting. It showed a google map to my frickin' house.

It found my dad. But I can just google my dad and it will give me all of our information, including phone number.

That's strange...I've been able to find every relative and people I know in there ? Do you have a common name and it said to revise your search(meaning put in state) ?

Zaba is just a compilation of public records like phone listings, property records, etc. So yeah it seems insidious, but it's really nothing that people couldn't find without a little work.

Now if you really want to go for gusto, go to www.blackbookonline.info.

Yes, this is not exactly the most up to date listing. I do not even exist according to this site (not a common name either) and my parents still live in Ohio even though they moved and bought a house in Florida over 6 years ago now.

That's true Bard... I have a friend, computer savvy for sure.. Totally off the grid however. you could search him till the cows come home, you will end up with ZERO.

What's computer savy have to do with it ? Are you saying because he knows computers he can block every single bit of information about him online ? Like others have stated(including yourself) there are many sites like this and anybodys information seems well in reach.

Nope... not a common name... put in the state and it still didn't find me - first one of those sites that hasn't though... the other site that was posted found me... and actually found a name similar to mine at the same old address from when my name was misspelled in a paper when I was in high school... pretty funny.

Exactly. It still shows my girlfriend as living away at college. I'm not even there because I have an unlisted phone #.

Coming from a guy who's livelihood is based on locating people who can't be found, this website is nothing. I wouldn't be all that worried, fellas.

I wouldn't be too worried. It had 4 addresses for me and I no longer live at any of them. It didn't show my wife's, my mother's or my mother in law.

Wow, there are literally 158 listings with my name, 157 of which aren't me and my phone number isn't listed. So I guess that means that when the Terminator comes back in time to kill me, there will be plenty of time for the good Terminator to find and save me while the bad Terminator eliminates all the other guys with my name. Whew... I feel better now.
