I’m the one that said “it’s a million times better” without going back over comparisons that have already been listed here, I’ll just chalk that up to opinion, maybe I was exaggerating a bit and counting off millions of points and counterpoints is beyond the scope of this conversation. I just feel you get what you pay for here which is why PSN is free.

The other piece to the graphics I think is the addition of HDMI, I felt without that on the 360 the PS3 looked better on HD than the component cables on the 360 did, but the addition of HDMI now to the 360 it is impossible to tell a difference. Like the difference between 720p and 1080I, there have been studies to show that the human eye isn’t good enough to pick up a difference with the exception to some peripheral vision aspects that argue progressive scan tests “clearer” for high motion video. At the end of the day though, the systems are the same now with the addition of the HDMI to the 360.

As I stated in prior posts I do think that there is an argument for the PS3 outlasting the 360 as the hardware is much better (arguably at least a year more advanced) in the PS3, the games just have not gotten to the point where you can say one system is beating the other in overall gaming. The PS3 was designed as a 10 year console and the difference may come soon as I have read a few side reports that Tom Clancy’s end war is pushing the 360 to some early limitations. Although it will probably be the most advanced and amazing RTS games around, the original design had you controlling individual commanders in a GRAW interface, and being able to zoom in an and out from those controls. Maybe it was too much too soon, or maybe the 360 couldn’t handle it. Only Ubisoft knows for sure.

And what the hell is going on with Killzone 2? Remember the “game play” trailer from E3 2005? Watch the Live Wire E3 game play demo now. It looks good, but come on, they are trying to boast all of this destruction technology that was done in COD4. Huge disappointment. Especially for a game that was supposed to launch with the system.

I didn't hear anything but good things from Killzone 2 at E3.

IGN gave it the award for Best Graphics technology, and I know they were raving about it on G4. Not only does the game look visually great, they talked about how incredible the AI was in the demo, and the level of detail in the graphics. The level of detail is one of main things the were wowed about from IGN's article. Like little pieces of debris flying off of concrete when hit with bullets, brief glowing of spots when hit by fire, and the lighting in the game. And remember, the game (unfortunately still) isn't even finished yet.

JMO, but the game looks unbelievably good. Now I just gotta get my hands on it in February to see if it was worth the wait.

It's far from what they said the "gameplay" would be like in the 05 footage.
