If Larry were to perform his bits with a nice haircut, button down suit, and no haybales on the stage, in front of an audience of people with an education beyond middle school he would bomb miserably.
Well if Pryor, Murphy, or Cosby were in front of a KKK audience I think they would fall short of laughs as well
BTW I voted for Pryor
Disagree with Cosby... his comedy albums of the 60's are classic and did not involve his race.
You must have never heard the Noah story.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Pryor was a genius with a mic. Not so much with a pipe.

George Carlin, with Bob Hope coming in close second. I know, I know both of them are rather different, but I like alot of diversity in my choices in comedy .

OMG............"rigghhhht...what's a cubit?" We used to sit around and listen to Cosby albums for hours. "Giant Chicken Heart" was another of his great stories. ( "Mom,look, i crushed my foot" ). Cheech and Chong too...many hours smokin' the good stuff and laughin till we cried. Franklyn Ajaye was another good one. He was The Fly in Carwash ( with Pryor and Carlin...not to mention my man Otis Sistrunk). He also did a lot of writing for the series In Living Color........ Thanx for the memory trigger...good times, good times

Dave Chappelle. I've never laughed so hard until I watched Killin' Them Softly.
