Or is it just me.
Following collegiate sports offers something, that pro sports doesn't. Well, this is my opinion anyways. I find myself being strictly a one team fan, in regards to professional sports. When the Browns left, I tried too find a new team too pull for. I ended up doing other things, besides watching football on Sundays. It didn't work no matter how hard I tried too root for the Bengals.
I look at how I follow college teams, and I have 5 schools that I root for. I have an order, so that if two of these five were too meet, I wouldn't have any issues with who too root for. It's normal too me, because I have rooted for these five teams for 25 or 30 years. I guess, I'm interested in thoughts on this, and if you have multiple college teams, share your teams and rank.

I guess some folks could have Pro teams they root for like this, but it just doesn't seem the same too me. Maybe it's due too the number of teams, and the odds these teams will play against each other. In baseball, I always pulled for the Reds in the NL, because the Tribe never played them, but interleague play was established, and now I could care less about them.

1. University of Kentucky- didn't have a choice, forced upon me by family
2. Ohio State University- raised in Buckeye country and it just happened
3. Kent State- grew up 20 minutes away,
4. Cleveland State- started following basketball when channel 25 showed their games
5. Akron- There was a kid that scored 30 points a game back in the day. I started following them then.

I love college sports!!! Just something about them!

1. Baldwin-Wallace College - my alma mater
2. Ohio State - obvious!
3. Virginia Tech - My grandparents live about 20 miles from them
4. Tenn - brother-in-law goes there
5. BGSU - grew up about 20 miles from there

I can't say that I'm a fan of anyone other than the University of Kentucky. The only thing I can say is that come NCAA tournament time, and during NCAA bowl games, I'll root for fellow SEC teams, but I only have 1 team that I actually follow.

Yeah I like college better than the pros. Not all of the kids will make it to the next level and they all give 100% out there. Unlike the pros where personalities and paychecks get in the way sometimes. I love college football and basketball. Besides OSU, I root for the MAC and most of the Ohio teams except the Bearcats. I can't stand Cincy.

Top 3 Teams I hate:
1. USC
2. Miami
3. Nebraska

I love college sports. I can watch pretty much any college game, regardless of who is playing.

Michigan and Toledo are the teams I root for.

If you would have put Duke on there one more time I'd completely agree with you..

I root for the Terps across the board, all sports... then if the Terps are out of it, I typically root for the other ACC teams to succeed (with a couple of notable exceptions.. like Duke)... then after the ACC is out of it, I tend to have a few teams I root against, but none I can say I really root FOR...

And can somebody please explain to me how Duke, who has not played a ranked team in basketball, and has lost to TWO unranked teams, was still #11 prior to last nights loss to Georgia Tech... while Clemson who has played an equally cream puff schedule, but is undefeated is #17?... man I hate Duke...

Have you moved around a lot Maunta? I find that's the reason why I seem to cheer for a lot of different collegiate teams. Here's my list:

1) University of Idaho. Probably the worst Div I school out there when it comes to sports, so I usually quickly move to the next few teams in my list.
2) Ohio State. Grew up rooting for them in Ohio before I moved to Idaho in High School. Haven't really stopped since.
3) Gonzaga. During the basketball season. Tiny little private school, up nearby the University of Idaho. I love the fact that they've been able to build this into a little basketball powerhouse. (I was really pulling for a Zaga/OSU Final Four last year)
4) Notre Dame. Although this one has kind of fallen off lately, due to being constantly over-rated and the homers that come to this board a lot. Still, I was a Catholic that grew up nearby ... and I always liked seeing the Gold Dome as we drove through Indiana on the way to my Grandparents.
5) University of San Diego. Kind of a new one. My buddy helps coach the baseball team there, and they made some noise in the NCAA tourney a year or so ago. Also a private Catholic school, but a bit bigger than Gonzaga I believe.
