Does anyone use their Wii on a HDTV? I plan on buying a HDTV with my tax money but I've read in places that the Wii does not always look good on a HDTV.

We do. I use component cables and have no problems with the picture.

I think you have to set your TV to game mode so the picture is better.

I know generally things that aren't in HD look worse on HD sets because of the resolution. It picks up the flaws.

Get the component cables for it.

It's night and day, so much cleaner looking than with the composites.

Agree 100% on the cables. I felt slighted until i got them (like 20 min. after i saw it with the composite cables), and now it looks great.

Circuit City and Best Buy have them, too.

I'm glad you all said something, I just figured it was because the Wii wasn't as powerful as the 360 and PS3

Those cables above only run it at 480p.

You can tell when you play the Wii on a HDTV vs. Xbox 360. If you didn't know better though, the picture is probably acceptable.

The Wii only supports 480p. And, I can't honestly say if the cables help with HD or not...I never had the Wii hooked up to the new TV with the old cables.
