Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies arrested rapper DMX at his Cave Creek home early Friday morning on suspicion of misdemeanor animal cruelty and felony drug possession. The arrests stem from a raid deputies made on the rapper's home in August which led to the seizure of 12 dogs and the discovery of three more dogs buried in the back yard. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said it took months for labs to conduct tests on the animals to confirm they weren't being properly cared for. Lawyers for DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, claimed the rapper was not at home at the time and wasn't aware of the dogs' condition. "It was a tough case," Arpaio said. "We were not in a rush, we put a lot of time on it but you don't rush into an investigation." Deputies also seized five pitbull puppies at the home Friday morning. Arpaio said there was no evidence that the malnourished dogs were used in fights. Deputies also seized cocaine and marijuana at the house, in the 2700 block of East Carlisle Road, Arpaio said. It's the second arrest this week for DMX, who was booked on Tuesday on speeding allegations. web page

Isn't this the one with the airport incident? I remember him being big on dogs and I sure hope he wasn't abusing them.

I'm not sure he loved the dogs...
In his videos he used to have people holding pit bulls in front of each other snarling and lunging toward each other in slow motion.
Also, if you like DMX's rhymes, let me suggest you check out some Mother Goose.

Same here. I'm not into a lot of rap anymore but I liked his first few albums, "It's Dark and Hell is Hot" and "Flesh of My Flesh,,," I loved the beat to "Ruff Ryders Anthem" and of course at any party you had to bump "WOO y'all gonna make me lose my mind, up in here, up in here" In all his videos he always had dogs n stuff,,never thought he abused em or anything. I liked the music but never cared for the man myself.
Metal still rules the airwaves in my ride but I still listen to a little rap if it has a good beat. I give 2 *bleeps* to what they talk about these days b/c it's all the same,,money, dope, bitches, and cars/houses. It got old.

Yes ANOTHER ONE. Most rappers act like or are wanna be thugs. Thats no stereotype it's a fact. Stories such as these are now common place when it comes to these so called musicians and I use the word musician lightly. BMX is just another punk low life in a long line of punks who glamorize the gangsta lifestyle. Who will it be next week? Only time will tell but I am pretty sure another scumbag rapper such as this jerk will do something sooner then later. No his real name is Earl Simmons. Besides rapping I think he may have had a part in some biker movie ? Looks like a piece of trash if he's fighting dogs,I can live with the weed on the property charge.

I dont get it. You must be refferring to "Steven Segel" and "good flick" used together.
I didnt think it was a bad movie, if its the movie Im thinking of. It had DMX, Segel, Tom Arnold, and that fat African-American actor thats now on "Law and Order". I can never remember that actors name, hes really funny though. DMX and Segel didnt make the movie though. It was Arnolds and the other guys comedy that made it a decent movie to watch a couple of times.

That's Joseph Simmons! Russell was his brother, who founded Def Jam records...the label that gave birth to many hip hop legends like LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys. That same label that Jay-Z would later take over, and run into the ground.
DMX was always an average rapper, but he spit his rhymes with conviction, much like 2Pac, so people seemed to like him cause he was a little different. That soon got tired. He's always had issues, crack being the biggest. I've always had a feeling that DMX was into dog fighting.

You really sound foolish. First of all, most rappers who are signed to big labels portray that "thug" image, because that's what sells. Most are just punks. But there are far more people in hip hop than what's shown on MTV and BET, and what's played on the radio.
I've been rapping since '88, I'm not a thug, don't rap about thug things, and don't have a criminal record.
Your statement is as ignorant as saying all black people look alike...like DMX and Tyrese (just messing with you king )

Comparing yourself to someone who has actually made it in the business is pretty foolish, I play pick up basketball games every once in awhile and I don't consider myself an NBA player, thats what your doing when you say you rap, so I wouldn't put you in the same realm as these fools with the thug mentality who rap. basically your also saying that because the thug mentality sells that means it's alright? but hey I'm the ignorant one because the majority of rappers are punk thugs. Yes that makes sense. You can stick up for all the rappers you want bud, that doesn't change the fact that most of them portray and glamorize a sad lifestyle.

2 fast 2 Furious was one of the worst sequels ever. I did like Tokyo Drift though since it went in a whole new direction.

I'm looking forward to the 4th one. Supposedly they are bringing Vin's character Dom back.
Just checked a site I frequent. It is due out June of 2009. It's in pre-production so that means it should start filming later this year. WOW, they are bringing back most of the cast from the first movie. It may be a very interesting movie after all.

I have to admit, it brought a big grin to my face when he made the appearance at the end of Tokyo Drift.
Have you ever watched the original all the way through the credits??

I have the special edition of the first movie. There's a small mini movie on the disc and it explains soooooooo much about in between the first and second movie...makes the 2nd movie even better. It explains how Brian gets the Skyline. Which cost so much to have imported (it racks up to over 100k) and is such a sweet car. The site I check said that Dom's Toyota is gonna play a huge part in the movie.

SO you have seen the little part after the credits in the original where they show Dom flying throught the desert of Mexico in I think it was a Nova and he says " I live my life 1/4 of a mile at a time". It is a way to expain what happens after he escapes the final wreck in Brians car. Most people dont know about that part.

So who was the last rapper to get ARRESTED before DMX?
Lets play a game....
Match the rapper with the incident that led to his/her arrest for assault or disorderly conduct:
1. Remy Ma
2. Foxy Brown
3. Notorious B.I.G.
4. Jay-Z
5. Young Buck
6. Kid Rock
7. Pimp C
8. The Game

d. Slapped with disorderly-conduct and resisting-arrest charges after police claimed he refused to remove a Halloween mask and stop swearing at customers at a North Carolina mall. Almost two years later, reportedly punched and brandished a gun at a basketball opponent during an argument at a playground pickup game.
e. Pled no contest to aggravated assault after allegedly waving a gun around during an argument with a woman in the middle of a mall. Said to be wearing full-length fur coat at the time.
f. Arrested and charged with assault after allegedly chasing two autograph-seekers with a baseball bat and smashing the window of their cab in 1995.
g. Pled no contest to criminal assault after allegedly punching a DJ at a Nashville strip club in February 2005. Why? "I guess, the selection of music," a Nashville PD sergeant said.
h. Pled not guilty last month to attempted murder, assault and weapon possession in shooting outside club in Manhattan's meatpacking district. Victim says rapper, her close friend for a decade, accused her of stealing $3,000.

Place "Party Up" pit-bull enthusiast DMX's transportation-related arrests in chronological order:
1. Charged with driving with a suspended license after his car allegedly hits another car on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx, leading to a multi-car accident also involving a police cruiser.

According to authorities, DMX used a fake siren to pull over another vehicle, identified himself as an FBI agent and attempted to drag the driver out of the car. He put up a fight, and X drove to the tollbooth gate and demanded to be let out. The attendant refused, and DMX drove through the gate, at which point he and another man were arrested. They were charged with attempted robbery, criminal mischief and criminal impersonation.
4. Detained after reportedly refusing to put on his seatbelt and verbally berating flight attendants on a flight from New York to London. British authorities let him off with a warning.
5. Arrested after police in Harrison, New York reportedly witness X make an unsafe lane change. Also charged with possession of a forged instrument after allegedly presenting officers with false identification.

Match the following quotes from Snoop Dogg's attorneys with the incident that prompted them:
1. "Snoop recognizes he got a great plea deal from prosecutors. He's going to make sure nothing interferes with keeping his part of the bargain. He's relieved and glad this case is behind him."
2. "This case is bogus. The DA knows that and we're confident a jury will come to that conclusion."
3. "We are very disappointed and hope that the minister will reconsider his decision. Snoop loves Australia and Australia loves Snoop. He truly hopes to have the opportunity to perform for his fans."
4. "Snoop will now continue his onward travel to South Africa to complete his concert commitments. He has not been charged with any offense."
5. "Sometimes Snoop Dogg's buses have been stopped just because it's Snoop Dogg's bus. We're not sure that happened here, but if it did, that's an issue we'd have to fight out."
a. Snoop charged with felony possession of a deadly weapon for allegedly carrying a 20-inch collapsible baton through a security checkpoint at John Wayne International Airport in Orange County, California. He maintains it's a prop in his latest video. (Nov. 2006)
b. Snoop pleads no contest in a Pasadena, California, court to gun possession and sale or transportation of marijuana. (April 2007)
c. Snoop pleads not guilty for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia after his tour bus is pulled over in Amherst, Ohio. He's on the "Puff, Puff, Pass" tour at the time. (Oct. 2001)
d. The Australian government, citing Snoop's previous criminal history, refuses to grant him an entry visa to host the MTV Australia Video Music Awards. (April 2007)
e. Snoop and five members of his entourage are arrested when a fight reportedly breaks out after they're denied entry to British Airways' first-class lounge. (April 2006)

It's been a cruel summer for Lil' Flip. New album I Need Mine is, on the real, a stiff. Worse, he turned himself in and appeared in court last month after being charged with credit-card fraud, having allegedly used stolen plastic to buy a $671 Southwest Airlines ticket from Houston to Baltimore. Flip and his management claim he's the victim of a scam, further illustrating every successful artist's need for a decent travel agent in his or her entourage. Link

I've been rapping since '88, I'm not a thug, don't rap about thug things, and don't have a criminal record.
Since 88 ? I've never heard of you. Sounds like you're a rapper wannabe. Who do you rap to...your next door neighbors and family members at the annual labor day picnic
My stage name is not ndutyme. I've performed in festivals around Cleveland. But because you've never heard of me, I guess I should just give up.

I would call him a wannabe rapper wannabe. He made himself sound foolish comparing his status to DMX. I've been cooking steaks since 88 but that doesn't make me a chef.
What a joke.
I am better than DMX, I just don't have a deal.
