The Whitney Bank Tampa Bay Blues Festival returns to Vinoy Waterfront Park in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, April 11, 12, & 13, 2008. This internationally renowned three day music festival has been staged for the past 14 years on the sunny shores of Tampa Bay and features spectacular waterfront views, a tropical atmosphere, and spectacular blues music. The event draws visitors from throughout the United States and Europe and is regarded as one of the best blues festivals in the world.

The festival will feature a large concert stage and state of the art P.A. system. Multiple food vendors will be providing Florida foods, seafood, Cuban foods, and a variety of festival treats. Beer & wine are also sold on site, together with sodas and beverages. No food or beverages may be brought to the Festival by patrons. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged, and re-entry to the park is allowed with a hand stamp. Children under 12 are admitted to the general admission area free of charge.

They're also pleased to announce that the Blues Festival has returned to its partnership with the St. Petersburg Festival of States for 2008. The Whitney Bank Tampa Bay Blues Festival will be the featured concert component of this year's Festival of States Celebration. This alliance will strengthen both events and enhance our mutual, long term goals.

Proceeds from the Whitney Bank Tampa Bay Blues Festival will also benefit their charity partner, Pinellas Association for Retarded Children. PARC has been their primary charity for the past 14 years, and its work is critical to the welfare of the Tampa Bay community.

Tickets & Backstage Passes: The advance price for a three day pass is $75. Individual ticket prices are $30 each day. Backstage passes (includes festival admission) may be ordered on-line or by mail for $350 for all three days or $150 per day. These backstage passes are limited, and patrons are encouraged to place their orders as early as possible.

General admission tickets may be purchased at any Whitney Bank location. Tickets and passes may also be purchased on-line at www.tampabaybluesfest.com or at www.ticketmaster.com, or by sending a check, payable to Tampa Bay Blues Foundation, Inc., along with a business-size, stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Tampa Bay Blues Foundation, Inc., 1535 Dr. M.L. It will be an all day event on Saturday!

I am not sure what hotel your talking about....there are numerous hotels downtown St. Pete!

I have a feeling you know the area quit well, the Blues Fest at Vinoy Park is always a really fun time!

I have seen Savoy Brown, Little Feat, Buddy Guy, Hot Tuna, and many other bands throughout the years!

It is time to catch Walter Trout!

Oh yes....The Vinoy!

To enter the park you have to walk right in front of the building!

That is one of the most exclusive hotels in downtown St. Petersburg.....always many limos around the place!

Hopefully this weekend, the sun is shining bright!
