I have to pick my mom up at Cleveland Hopkins this evening and I'm just curious how pickup works there. I know some airports have a "Cell Phone Waiting Area" but I don't recall ever seeing any at Hopkins. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

It has been a long time since I used to pick up my dad at the airport...like early 60's, but the layout of the airport hasn't changed much...you just drive the loop until you see them standing by the curb.

Make sure the plane is on time before you head over. If it is still possible, have her call you when she boards to get a accurate ETA unless they get jumbled up in the air.

Been a LONG time since i had to pick anyone up from there but it seemed really easy... I lived in Berea so I would just have the person call me when they got there and I could just swing up and pick them up pretty easily... I don't remember any cell phone areas, but the pick up area usually flows pretty easily and I never had a problem if I had to sit there for awhile. Depending on where you're coming from you could always just stop in Berea and grab a bite to eat and have your mom give you a ring.

When you pull around to the terminal there are two levels. Upper level is drop off, lower level is pickup. There is no stopping and waiting.

I believe you're able to stop on the the road outside the airport (when you turn right off Snow Road). I've done it and that's been since 9/11. You just can't really enter the airport area and sit around. I don't believe there are any signs that say you can pull off there. I only pulled off there once I saw others that were parked.

Correct, that's pretty much what I do. Basically, like Babe said, as soon as you make that right off of Snow, park yourself along the shoulder of the road. I've waited there for longer than 30 minutes with no hassle.

Thank you very much. Things worked out well as she was at the pickup area just as I entered the loop. I didn't need to wait or drive around again.

That's how you do it, make them wait 30-40 minutes.
