I have the basic MLB.TV subscription, which bascially lets me watch any game I chose, just wondering if anyone subscribes to the premium.

The quality I pay for is not all that great (much much better then sopcast) and was wondering if the upgrade is worth the extra five bucks a month.

Yes the premium is worth it, provided you have a high speed broadband connection and a computer with enough horsepower to take advantage of it.

Run the 1.2MB test on the mlb site to see how good it is. It really is amazing. I had to add the Microsoft Silverlight plug in as well as another app. but I'm really happy with it. It's very very high quality. Better than anything I've ever seen on the internet.

You have to watch baseball on your computer? Ugh.

Thanks Heldawg,

Wow, first time I noticed the link for the demo!

Yes, the 1.2MB link looks much better then the picture I am getting from the basic MLB.TV.....I am on road runner......so that will not be a problem!

I have my computer hooked up to a 27" Samsung HD/TV.....it works well for a monitor as well as a TV!

I just need to check with Brighthouse and make sure they do not have a cheaper baseball package...I doubt it will be cheaper then $20 a month.....so I may be upgrading soon!

Living in Hawaii....do you really have time to sit around and watch baseball.

Yes, as a matter of fact if I want to watch a Reds game I do!

Well, I think I do anyway! I need to see if my local cable company (which I cannot stand) has a baseball package and if so, is it worth it to get the Reds down here!

The season just started so I am weighing a few options, but I am not much of a Rays fan....and that is what you get a heavy dose of down this way!

I know, it is almost as bad as it seems....but not quit! The game today was actually really exciting and the pitching for the Reds seems pretty good so far!

If it's Time Warner you just missed out on a free week of extra innings...well tomorrow night may be free also but don't quote me on that, check your guide.

I don't need it myself since I live in the area and get all the games but I would get it if I lived in Florida.

I have Brighthouse for my cable connection...so I will see how it goes, I just have to make the phone call!

The MLB.TV is really not that bad.....I just need to check other options to make sure I am getting the maximum!

Thanks for the info, being a huge Reds fan and living in Florida....I have to scramble to make the best of it!

The good thing about being hooked up to my HD/TV......even though it is coming through my PC......you would pretty much never know it, especially when upgrading to the premium MLB.TV!

Might as well stick with what works. I have no idea, and you might want to compare prices but that's probably cheaper. Not sure, just an assumption.

A friend of mine has it and I've watched a game on it that he had ported over to his TV. Other than the occasional hang up the quality is very good. Cheaper than extra innings that's for sure. I wish they would do it for the NFL.

I like to have it on when I'm working. 90% of what I do is on the computer so if I have the game on in the corner, all is good!

One of my companies is called Lei Chic...if interested google it! Aloha
