One of my FAVORITE songs ever:
Its late in the evening Shes wondering what clothes to wear She puts on her make up And brushes her long blonde hair And then she asks me Do I look alright And I say yes, you look wonderful tonight
We go to a party And everyone turns to see This beautiful lady That's walking around with me And then she asks me Do you feel alright And I say yes, I feel wonderful tonight
I feel wonderful Because I see the love light in your eyes And the wonder of it all Is that you just don't realize How much I love you
Its time to go home now And Ive got an aching head So I give her the car keys She helps me to bed And then I tell her As I turn out the light I say my darling, you were wonderful tonight Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight
Congrats on getting the tix!!

Sounds like it will be a good time. I have never seen Clapton. maybe one of these years I will find a way to do so. I wouldn't mind going to that guitar festival he has.....but the festival thing is the only part I wouldn't like. I prefer auditorium seating.
On a concert note from this end, got some lower level, fairly close to the stage seats for Alison Krauss and Robert Plant when they come to town next month.
Krauss always puts Chattanooga on her list of stops, and feel pretty lucky to get her and Plant to play here on a fairly limited tour.
If you get the chance to see her and Plant on CMT Crossroads.....watch it. They play a blend of her songs, Zeppelin songs, and some new stuff....they sound really good.

He does that song on the DVD One More Car, One More Rider.
Ballpeen - buy the '07 Crossroads G F dvd (or anyone and everyone buy it for that matter)....it's like being there, except you only see a couple of songs by each artist. Vince Gill and his band are on for Sweet Thing (Vince shows how good he is in that one - quite good) and his band plays with Albert Lee, Cheryl Crow, then Clapton joins them all on the stage for Tulsa Time.
Enjoy the R Plant show - I like his In The Mood song.

Not that crazy about his solo stuff, although he's a super talent.
Give me his stuff w/ Cream and Derek & the Dominoes any day though. ROCKS!!!

I saw him during that tour. Phil Collins played drums as I recall.

I'm going to see Clapton for the first time on May 3rd.
I am also going to see Tom Petty when he comes around with Stevie Winwood.
I sure wish Clapton and Winwood were touring together. Imagine them two getting into a little Blind Faith! That would be a killer show!
Oh BTW Peen, Walter Trout is playing TB Blues Fest in April, I will most definately be checking that out!

Walter is great!!!
I guarantee you will like him. The guy has a BIG following in Europe...he just doesn't play radio music, but he puts on one of the best concerts I have EVER seen.....the guy ranks with the best guitar players anywhere.
Let me know how you liked the show. I remember talking to you about this some time back. You won't be sorry you remembered either.

Just got my tickets to about 3 days ago... I have a question though.. I've been to Blossom twice and have always sat very close because of the Mayer fan club and a pre-sale.
Now... I am in Section 48 (I believe) it's the far left back section.. Me, my girlfriend, and my parents are going to be in Row A.... are these seats pretty good? I've never sat that far back before at Blossom. Let me know what you guys think...
Also... any one know who will be opening the show or will anyone?

I know here in Tampa, Clapton's warm up band is scheduled to be "Robert Randolph and the Family Band. I can't recall hearing anything from them in the past, but I am excited to see them, if they are on the same stage as Clapton.....they have to be worth listening to! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/104...the+family+band

If this is true for all the shows... I am going be very excited. Can't wait to see him tearing up that lap steel. I can only hope Robert will be at Blossom.
