I love it out here... you get a few inches of snow and everything shuts down. Everyone stayed home from work today! I'd say we have about 3-4 inches... hardly enough to close anything in Cleveland but here it's about the end of the world. I am eager to take advantage of such luxuries

It's snowing so bad, apparently, that the mayor of NYC is making an announcement to update everyone on conditions. HA HA.
It's just snowing! And flurries!

We have a few inches just a little north of you CG. Nice and quiet here. Snowdays are usually good days to get caught up!

Well I don't get the day "off". I am still working (I have a laptop) but I get to do it in my PJs and with my kitties running around.

I am working on it, as a matter of fact I am sitting in a Excel certification class right now. I guess I should be paying attention.

I'll let you have your "snow days".
It was sunny and 53 today. It's supposed to get into the upper 50's by the middle of next week. I plan on visiting the snow this weekend. Skiing on Sunday.

I think if it snowed down here the entire state would go into a state of chaos.

Yeah, you sure did. I didn't wanna believe it but man, it's moved on down the list of places I even wanna visit, let alone live.

I would move somewhere it doesn't snow in a heartbeat if there were jobs for us there.

What do you do that there aren't jobs in non snowy places? Are you a salt truck driver? A sidewalk shoveler? A stray snowflake catcher?

That, or Indianapolis. At least Lilly used to be in Indy (had a friend who's hubby worked for them a while ago).
Hmmmm...North Jersey/NYC or Indy...Indy wins, hands down.....

Where are the other 10%? To me being happy with where I live outweighs a lot of other life factors. I understand having to make a living but at what cost? Being miserable from November through March? I'd rather get paid less and live in a better climate. But that's my priorities. Not saying it should be yours.

My boss actually worked at Lilly for many years. I'm thinking I'd stay here before moving back to the midwest.

Sometimes you can't afford to make less than you do, so you're stuck being miserable from November to March.
I'm far from miserable... this is my second winter here and it's 2000x better than winter in CLV. It just snowed here yesterday for the first time all winter (more than a dusting I mean). How can you argue with that?
