Like $65 a month isn't enough for tv.... anyone know if DirectTV has the nfl network, and at what programming level???

DirecTV was the first to have it. Don't know how much though

Not to hijak, but along the same lines, does anyone know if Time Warner is EVER going to get the NFL Network or the Big Ten Network?

Not unless one of them budges 2119. Neither are willing to compromise.
There is one ray of hope though - AOL/TW is thinking of selling off their cable business. If they do, perhaps the new suitor will consider the options.

I'd love to have Adelphia back. Too bad the owners did some bad stuff!

I am also victim of this frustration; on top of that I cannot cancel my account because AS PER CONTRACT I have to stick with them whatever they do.
Anyone have idea of getting out of contract. I would really like tot go with Direct TV

Where are you located? You had to sign a contract with Time Warner?

Yeah, the guy who hooked up my cable this weekend mentioned something about that.

I had DISH TV and quit to go to Armstrong cable. I wound up back at DISH and was given free installation, Showtime free for 3 months and $10 a month off my bill for 10 months. I had to call DISH to get the $99 taken off my bill for the installation. I had to call again for the free Showtime. Both times I ask about the $10 a month off my bill and was told they would take care of it. In January I sent DISH an email asking about the $10 a month. They said it would be forwarded onto the proper people to fix it. Last night I sent another email as I am not getting the $10 a month off my bill. I told them 6 months is long enough to get this issue resolved. Fix it or I will quit and go to Direct TV. If you are not going to honor our agreement, then I don't have to either. I then said let me know what you want to do. I gave them my phone and email address. I am waiting for their answer.

PEEN,,,,WELCOME BACK Man,,,
I wish TWC would offer to give me the NFL Network for $5.00 more per month, I'd take that deal in a second..
But I'm not even being offered that.....

I hear ya, Thats the way it is with Dish. I hate it, my point is they can change anything and everything they want. But i have to honor my contract Or i play fees to cancel service. Not fair at all, I told Dish Service Rep. last night same thing and she did not have answer. i dont blame her personaly but this policy sucks

Thus, one of the various reasons I have Cable.
In my neck of the woods, those that have either of the dish companies are always having issues with reception. Rain, clouds, snow all effect reception and in NE Ohio,, what do you think we have more of than Sunshine,.., you guessed it, Rain, Clouds and Snow....
I want the NFL network badly,, but not badly enough to switch to a Dish and also lose my High Speed Internet currently provided by TWC. I'd have to switch to DSL and it's just not as fast as Cable...
SO, for me, the best thing that could happen is competition. If we can get a couple of cable companies to come in and bid for my service, then I win.. Hands down, I win.
That's changing in Ohio,, www.wewantchoiceohio.com I guess our Govenor signed some bill allowing for Competition,,, some companies are applying now,, I suppose that at some point, TWC will have to sit up and take notice that they better come to the table with more than rhetoric... Put up or Shut up time.... At least I hope so...

When I had Armstrong cable, I had tv, internet and phone service. I quit the tv as they did not offer NFL Network and their other programming wasn't that great either. I did keep the internet and the phone service with Armstrong cable. I still am saving $20.00 a month on the internet and phone serice. Phone service includes unlimited long distance anywhere in the USA, no charge.

See I don't get why people have problems. I have had a dish for about a year and live in the snowbelt and my dish went out one time. And that was when we have a severe thunderstorm in the summertime where the sky went almost black. And even then it was for 10 minutes. Even when it snows I never had problems. Well, once we had a real wet snow (the kind that makes great snowballs) and my screen started to get the blocks on it. I cleared it off and no problems the rest of the night. Even lately with all the snow we have been getting my dish never went out.
I have DirecTV's HD dish if that matters. I really like them and never had any issues with anything. If anyone wants to switch lemme know b/c we both would get $50 if you say I referred you And the NFL Network is part of the basic package too. My brother-in-law was just telling me about how the Dish Net screwed him too and he is considering switching. He hasn't been happy with them for a while and this was the nail in the coffin to seal the deal.

I'm switching to ATT's U-Verse. I love my dish, just hate when it goes out (Maybe 3 times in the year I've had it and not for that long). U-Verse has the programming at affordable rates and no contract. Plus I'm getting $100 to pay off my cancellation of Dish.

The AT&T deal is real good. I have AT&T DSL and referred a buddy of mine and he ended up getting the DSL/Phone/Cable and he loves it a lot. I had my DirecTV installed a day before I called AT&T or else I would have gotten the U-Verse as well. They totally screwed up my DSL order though so I have a real great price for as long as I have them so I'm happy hehe. Thats my only knock on AT&T is their customer experience for me has been a nightmare, but they hook you up anytime they make a mistake.
