OK. An unborn fetus, particularly in the first trimester, is not capable of conscious thought. In fact, newborns aren't much better. Chickens, for the most part, aren't capable of rational thought either. Both animals simply react to stimulus without a decision making process. If you poke them with a needle, they the recoil no matter what (as opposed to one of us making the decision to brace ourselves and take the pain of a vaccination, for example).
So even if you could somehow communicate to a fetus or a chicken that you are going to cut their heads off tomorrow, they wouldn't be capable of processing that idea and making a decision to live. If they can perceive the danger in that moment, however, they would likely react, without thought, in a way that would preserve their lives.
An adult with a terminal disease (as we were comparing in the chicken discussion), is likely capable of understanding what taking lethal medicine will do, and can make a rational decision not based simply on intuitive reaction.
So, when a woman chooses to get an abortion, it is true that the fetus doesn't choose to be killed. It is likewise true that it doesn't choose to live. Much like a chicken.

just adding a Portsmith perspective...Crap like this never happens around here ..the guy was an ass (but most of us are  )But I still have ?'s why the freak stabbed &/or shot 2 people and shot himself within 90 minutes yet it took 3 law enforcement agencies and a S.W.A.T. robot over 4 hours to storm a 2 bedroom cottage to find the suspect with his lid blown off
