I had not noticed that on the schedule, thanks! I've been in DC throughout the week for work related endeavors for the past six months. The kids would love to go. In all honesty, I'd rather go to a game in June/July/August when the weather is warm. I don't mind seeing a random ballgame. Plus, I might get the side eye from my wife about suggesting a chilly April weather game.

Vogt needs to find a way to keep Angel Martinez in the lineup while he's swinging the hot bat.

Also, Juan Brito (2B/SS) is pounding the ball down in AAA .320/.390/.930. (lookout Rocchio). Schneemann will likely not be around after the All-Star Break

Kyle Manzardo hit HR #7 tonight. Jose hit #5 on the season. Guardians beat the Yankees 6-4.

And Vogt was able to have Cade Smith closeout the game without making waves since Clase had pitched in three straight. K'd Judge to end the game.

That might work out, but I hate to throw a rookie into that spot this early in his career. I would rather leave him where he is for now and let him really build his confidence.

Manzardo is looking like he will be a Big League big bat. Hopefully in time it won't just be a power bat and he adds some points to the average

He will never lead the league in average, but you would like to see him get it up in the .270 range. Young players who lift the ball with power usually lag in the average category early on.

The Guards have some good young bats in the pipeline who aren't all that far away. It's looking good.

Just don't get away from pitching. That's 70% of the game. I equate it to a goalie in hockey. If your goalie can wall the net, it doesn't matter how good the other teams scorers might be.

Went 2-5 on the night with a dinger and his highest exit velo at 105.5 mph in his Triple A debut.

Jose is only the 7th player in MLB history to have 250 HR’s and 250 SB’s for the same team. What a player, Future Hall of Famer, IMO!

Jose only needs a HR vs the Braves to have hit a HR against all the teams in the league. After hitting one last night vs the Phillies. Pretty cool if he gets it done.

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A face and name Guardians fans will surely remember is joining the team in a new role.

The organization announced Wednesday Corey Kluber has been hired to the role of Special Assistant, Pitching.

Kluber was a dominant pitcher for Cleveland from 2011 until 2019, boasting a 98-58 (.628) record with 1,461 strikeouts over 1,341.2 innings during his nine years with the team.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner and three-time All Star was instrumental in Cleveland’s 2016 World Series run, going 4-1 with a 1.83 ERA, the team wrote in a news release.

In total, Kluber spent 13 seasons in the Majors, including time with the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox. He announced his retirement in February 2024.

Cecconi did look pretty good last night. I assume he is Lively’s replacement. Bieber will be back shortly. I think they are in good shape in the rotation and pen.
