so, what did you learn from the released documents? Anything?

Just wondering, is inflation going down because it was released? Don't give me that crap about Egg Prices dropping. I went shopping yesterday, no drop in prices.. Not even a penny. Beef Prices are up. So please, tell me how this helped any of us

you are worse than and old guy yelling at kids to get off your lawn.

Buy a 1/4 or 1/2 cow and a deep freezer. I save hundreds a year by doing that.

Also, yes, egg prices have plummeted. Thank the lord. I am sick of hearing you talk about the price of eggs. lol

Inflation. Yes, that had cooled- the headline inflation rate was 2.8% and core inflation was 3.1%. We are doing alot better than when we were at a high of 9.1% in 2022.

Now, did Trump or Biden have anything to do with that? no. the feds did.

No the feds didn't. Post covid inflation was global.

In the U.S. and around the world, inflation is high and getting higher

So Trump promised unredacted, and they went out unredacted,

Names, addresses and social security numbers for those involved included. I guess they are scrambling to issue about 400 new social security numbers to those still living that were affected.

Ready, Fire, Aim.

I think it’s just “fire” at this point.

CDC's cruise ship inspectors laid off amid bad year for outbreaks

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cdc-cruise-ship-inspectors-layoffs-outbreaks-norovirus/

If you didn't consider cruise ships a floating Petri dish before, they certainly will be now.

Considering the vast majority of cruise ships operating today are owned and operated by other countries. The CDC shouldn’t need to be involved. Perhaps those countries should be required to do their own inspections with required documentations before entering US ports.

So you want to leave the safety and health of Americans in the hands of some other country? I certainly do not.

I actually see what he’s saying. We have a set of standards that the ships need to be when they enter port with a right of inspection. If they don’t meet that standard, then that country is fined/suspended/barred from entering US ports.

So with the inspectors gone, who's doing the checking to see if they meet standards?

Probably the other 20+ entities from state-to-state, country-to-country, organization-to-organization.

Cruise ships are clean and their public safety measures are robust. They are also the only travel sector that voluntarily self-reports illness to the CDC. Illnesses on cruise ships are not because they're not inspected enough, they're because you're putting 5000+ people in confined spaces within half the footprint of a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Also, if you've read any of these articles you'll realize that most of the CDC's job is in helping react after an outbreak has occurred and is taking place. They don't need people sitting around like Maytag repairman in order to accomplish that goal. Besides that, the CDC, admittedly never kept up with random inspections since COVID and relied more and more heavily on ships self-reporting illnesses.

Basically, the scenario people are "selling" is that now that the CDC won't be doing random inspections the entire cruise industry will say screw it and put more pee pee in the petri dishes. That, knowing full well that the kiss of death for months of lower traffic and lower premiums is an outbreak on one of their ships.

So you want us to trust an organization designed to represent the cruise ship industry? The world's largest cruise industry trade association with representation in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia? Whose members include American Cruise Lines, Carnival, Emerald, Norwegian? A total of 30 cruise lines in all are members of this organization.

Oh, heck no.

I want you to trust the organization that presided over testing failures, testing delays, failed testing, over-testing, under-testing, poor communication, mixed messaging and failure to provide any answers that made sense as they took direct orders from one self-anointed messiah. The messiah that lied through his teeth from the very first sentence and lied through every stop along the way.

I mean, they've openly acknowledged all of those mistakes and say they're going to do better now!

Typical. If someone scores 94% on a test all you do is scream about the 6% of questions they missed.

Why am I not not surprised you advocate people listen to an organization that promotes the cruise ship industry and make excuses why that makes sense.

I don't know, the department that was laid off was funded by the cruise industry. Maybe Trump took your advice?

I realize the desperation some people have to give trump credit for things he had nothing to do with and refuse to blame him for things he's directly responsible for. This is just another example.

I realize the desperation it takes for people to walk around with magic wands and crystal balls and predict how terrible things will be, as if the worst case scenario has already come to pass, in order to blame Trump for something that hasn't even happened. Your every post is a glaring example.

I've made a habit to not "un-click" ignore and this place has been much more bearable; for everyone, I would imagine. I figured there'd be a bit of entertainment value to engage today and your low-rent takes never dissapoint. Alas, that shiny toy has lost its luster. Have a nice day.

Still, flailing at windmills I see. Nobody "predicted" anything here. Just pointed out that protections in place were taken away even when they weren't costing taxpayers a dime. Which of you could be honest about it for a minute makes no sense and certainly raises the risk factor involved. I do realize you only employ one of two tactics about such matters though. Either ignore them all together or try to attack the messenger who pointed it out in the first place. Speaking of low rent takes.
