Ooo, another return specialist signed, how long until he treats something?

The return specialist role on this team is cursed in recent years. They always get injured in the preseason.

We haven't had much luck with those guys, but who knows? Maybe he will make it to the field and actually have a couple of 15 yard punt returns.

As long as the punt catcher can actually secure a punt, I don't care much about return yards.

True, we haven't been lucky,, But we gotta keep trying.

No doubt. I don't mean to say we don't want return yards. We do know he has been doing it for 6-7 years, so we know that he is good at fielding a punt.

He has also shown he can gain some yards after catching the ball, so that is a bonus in my book.

Who was that vet safety we had who became our punt catcher? I can't think of his name. He was a pretty decent safety for us as well. Maybe Petine was the coach. I think we tried Peppers and a few others, and all would muff punts while weaving around under the punt like a 7 year old little leaguer trying to catch his first fly ball.

Every time a team punted to us, we were all on pins and needles, just hoping he caught the damn thing.
