NFL Live just reported that Wilson is meeting with the Browns in Cleveland Tomorrow.
Actually I think he is a good fit with KS. Not a solution but a fit.
Wilson will meet with the Giants Friday.

Jerry Jeudy is thrilled, I'm sure....
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I was messaging a fellow DTer the other day about how Andrew Berry tends to go after guys he wasn't able to sign/trade for the first time around. Some examples include Jadeveon Clowney, Takk McKinley, & Jerry Jeudy. I mentioned Russell Wilson to him as an option because he would also fall into this bucket. So we'll see. But this meeting is advantageous for both the Browns and Wilson if they still have their options open. Wilson visiting Cleveland puts pressure on Pittsburgh and Cleveland meeting with Wilson put pressure on Atlanta if the "liking Cousins" rumor is true.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Maybe by Monday some of the chips will fall.
Wilson, Cousins, Rodgers.
If I had to guess.
Wilson to the Giants. Cousins to Cleveland. Rodgers to the Steelers.

Didn't think this would be a take from ESPN.

Pass.
What would be the point? Go 7-10 or 8-9? And then what? Have a mid-round draft pick next year? Waste a year to develop a rookie QB behind what could be the final year of this OL before it needs rebuilt?
My guess is Wilson is interested in starting and not just coming in only to turn the reigns over to a rookie QB after a few weeks.

I would sign Wilson or Cousins, draft Carter or Hunter and then draft a QB with pick #33 or trade up back in the 1st to draft Dart. I like RW with us.

Great. Who's next, Mason Rudolph? Maybe we can coax Kordell Stewart out of retirement. Perhaps Big Ben can join Deshaun to really perv up the qb room.

There are only a limited number of options available.
We traded for Pickett.
We will sign another quarterback and will probably draft one maybe two.
It is not like we can order a quarterback of choice.
Get some guys. Draft some guys. Hope someone can play.

no idea what Browns intend on draft day but Russ will fly to Cleveland then to NYG? Lot of smoke screens and bluffing in those meetings Id imagine.

I'd rather have Pickett than Wilson.
Wilson was done 3 years ago.

You summed it up perfectly. How can the Browns be in this situation?

The Dart options seem out of reach. As I expected, he seems to be racing up draft boards. I don't see any way to move back in to the first to get Dart without a huge expense. I mean like moving up in to the top 15 or better. If he is the QB you want and you have to move up that far you might as well just take him at #2. There are several teams just behind us looking for a QB. If we want to play that game we best move up far enough to jump them to keep from being stiffed.

The priority of the Browns is to find a quarterback.
If after their evaluation they like Dart over the others. Then draft him.
I don't care about what the media or draft people say. It didn't bother Sean Payton when he drafted Bo Nix.
Didn't bother the Ravens when they drafted Lamar. Didn't bother the Bills when they selected Allen.
Get the guy you like.
We cannot control the Titans. We can hope they don't take the guy we want.
We will probably never know who are first choice is between Sanders or Ward.
If we take Dart at two. We will know they want him.

I thought the story on Wilson was that he refused to throw the deep ball the past couple years?

I thought the story on Wilson was that he refused to throw the deep ball the past couple years? Saw enough Broncos games here, dude had an affinity with Sutton. And he threw the ball deep well. Think his problem at the moment is that he's lost a step in escaping the pass rush. He's not as fast as he used to be.

I really don't know if he has shied away from throwing the deep ball but here are 16 examples of when he did so from 2024 so people can take a look at them. Sadly a lot of them were against the Browns.....
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Thought that was going to be an OJ Simpson chase video there for a second.

Do we have any "deep ball" pass catchers?

I was high on Wilson coming out of Wisconsin. I really wanted to take him in round 5 - went round 3 and taught me that if you like a guy you take him rather than trying to get a bargin.
Wilson has had an excellent career that has come and gone. He is a below average Qb talent wise at this stage of his career And for the contract he will demand, he isn't worth the cost
I was not a fan of the Pickett signing I would have signed multiple other options over him Wilson is not one of them
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no
