Would have loved for it to be Cam Johnson but that was always a long shot. Hunter is a great pickup though. No more Niang!
It sucks to see LeVert go but I would have rather it be him than Okoro. Okoro's defense is important and LeVert seemed too streaky offensively. Niang is apparently a nice guy but he wasn't anything special. It will be interesting to see what they do with Hunter, Strus, and Wade's minutes once everyone is healthy.
Side note: We have Hunter's contract for two more years after this.

Steve Greenberg, the managing director of Allen & Co. —which is overseeing the expansion process on behalf of the WNBA — has declined comment on all bidding. But sources said the bids have ranged from $200M to $250M and that the Cavaliers likely won the 16th franchise with their high-end $250M proposal, their NBA infrastructure and their burgeoning facilities.
Owner Dan Gilbert and the Cavaliers, who declined comment, are constructing the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center, which will be the centerpiece of Gilbert and Bedrock’s $3.5B Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan. The NBA Cavaliers would operate out of that facility, while the Rockers would move into the Cavalier’s current state-of-the-art training center in Independence, Ohio, complete with two practice courts, a team theater and a weight room in a remote wooded setting. Gilbert, who reportedly has poured over $1B into Cleveland sports and entertainment ecosystem since purchasing the Cavaliers in 2005, would also continue to upgrade the new Rockers facility.
Cavs crush the Knicks, 142-105. This one was over at the half, and only got worse from there.

Hope you're right Bone. I live in Celtics territory and have an extreme dislike for them as well as all Boston teams. The Pats I can tolerate but that's about it.
No Garland. Mitchell scores only 11 Pts. Cavs win by ..... 40.

It's remarkable. Orlando had even said prior to this game that this is "a game we gotta have" and they got pulverized.
I won't be surprised to see BOS try and mess with Cavs psyche and sit a key starter on Friday. Cavs have the stated goal of having the best record and getting the #1 seed. BOS playing somewhat like Cavs era LeBron and not concerned with seeding.
Man, this team is such a joy to watch and they are all locked up for the few years.
I am hoping against hope that we can somehow re-sign Jerome.
I doubt it though.

Cavs had a tough one tonight against the Celtics ... falling behind 25-3 right off the bat.
No fear, though .... the good guys wind up winning 123-116.

A gut check win after falling behind several times. Atkinson was pushing all the right buttons at moments in this game. Monstrous game for Mitchell. Celtics got a lot of match-ups they wanted switching on to Garland.
It miffs me that Celtics were not at full strength with Porzingas and Holiday both out tonight. Had a feeling Mazulla would do this.
This should secure the #1 seed in the East for the Cavs which is huge for this team. What an awesome season! And this is just the start of a 3 year window. Celtics will have serious roster decisions to make after this season due to the luxury tax.

Go Cavs
I am trying to keep things in perspective knowing Porzingas and Holiday were both out, but this was a huge comeback win on the road that should instill a mindset to never give up no matter the deficit. This is especially important this late in the season and against Boston. Mobley continues to mature and develop into the #2 guy on the floor for the Cavs. I was a little worried about Allen's presence against a team without KP on the floor, but he just could have had a bad game or still dealing with injuries. He was a +/- negative 23 when on the floor. Ouch. And our bench was really good for us in the +/- regard..... Wade +12, Hunter +21, Okoro+3, Jerome +34, Merrill +22.
That end of the game block/tip from Carter on Tatum's three is THE very reason he was traded for. I think I'd prefer him to start over Strus against Boston if we meet them in the ECF to attempt to limit offensive starts like this from Boston.
