The texts are my favorite. I'm talking one of them right now.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
I do get a lot of calls, but I don't pick up. I'll text back and forth with scammers for days, though.

I get two or three calls a week from someone telling me about some insurance claim I’m involved with. As soon as I ask them who they’re looking for, they hang up. Robo-calling, trying to hit the gullible person who will either send them money or give them a credit card #.
I like to, occassionally, play along with these idiots.
Other times, I wait for the stupid "bloop", then when someone starts talking, I go "bloop".
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I kept one on the phone for an hour once. Trying to sell me life insurance over the phone LMAO I got him all lathered up about wanting a million dollar policy. Kept changing the subject on him and asking him personal questions. To his credit he hung in for an hour. Then I dropped the bombshell..... OH by the WAY I'm getting chemo right now for stage IV cancer that won't matter will it??? All I heard was CLICK and for some odd reason we never have had another phone call from that number.
I spent 15 minutes once with a guy who was telling me what to do to "fix" windows I was "following" all of his instructions on what to do. At some point I said wait a minute I need to get some more paper. He asked why? I told him I have been writing it all down. He hung up.
...........Anyone getting alotta spam phone calls. I get 6 - 8 calls a day.......
...........and I block and/or report 6-8 calls a day.
Indeed.
I don't think blocking really works. If you block one, they have a hundred others.
My theory is I just don't answer my phone. I just hit ignore if I don't know who is calling. If they don't leave a message, it wasn't important.
Unless I was at work, I never felt obligated to answer a phone. Just because they want to talk about something doesn't mean I do. I own the phone. It doesn't own me.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
I don't know if this would work on a cell phone...it worked great on an answering machine... I would record "Hello.... Hello?...I'm sorry I can barely hear you, can you speak up?..pause...Hey! That's better. How are you doing! Good to hear from you...pause a few more seconds...then say, just kidding, you have been talking loud to my answering machine.
I got a lot of comments over that gag.

I just had a call. I answered it, and the thing went "bloop" ......
I got this very, very foreign sounding guy rambing on about some imminent tragedy ..... and I belched. He asked me about 5 other questions, and I belched in response to each of them. He hung up ... thank goodness, because I don't know if my belcher had anything left.

You talking about your home phone land line or a modern mobile phone? Verizon spam blocking eliminates most of those. Then V-block to block spam that get’s through does the rest. I get maybe 2-3 rando calls a month. And let’s be honest, every non-personal call is trying to steal from us in some way. Unless it’s like the school or a teacher calling to tell you how messed up your kid is, somebody from church trying to guilt you into attendance, or a neighbor wanting to borrow your tools, every caller is after something from us. I’d just as soon throw mine away or change my number, than to play with scum when I get a lot of robos.
