Anyone have opinions of Google TV versus LG WebOS?
Is it 6 of one half a dozen of the other?

Google android has more apps and is way more mature. Less bugs.

Oh, I see the confusion. Chrome cast is dead, and Google removed google play and movies from Android TV their OS.

So is it still better if webos got rid of bugs?
I'm trying to decide what to get.
Sony bravia 8, LG C4 or LG B4
Seems only difference between c4 and b4 are 2 types of hdmi ports.
Which is not a big deal for me. I'm not doing gaming

Wow, I just did some research and typed out a long post only to see I was not authorized to post… DT logged me out. In a nutshell, I’d probably lean the LG AI C4 because they seem to be moving to AI based OS. Google is probably doing the same, hence the stripping of features that are incompatible or take up resources.

Lg also seems to be dominating the market. So, you can expect a decent product.

I watch 99% of all video on a streaming PC monitor. We own 4 tvs and they probably get a combined 100 hours use per year. Mostly grandkids. Wife watches on her tablet most of the time, unless grandkids are here.

Googled the models. Read the specs.

I've had WebOS for a couple years now. It's got a few irritating quirks, like not auto populating passwords when you change networks, a few too many steps on some of the menu settings and things like that, but it's not horrible.
