Looking for some Dawg reviews.

I am looking to get one but find them fairly cheap in the $150 rage but up to $800 or so. I don't want to spend $800 bucks on one but don't want a low end job either if the more expensive is that much better.

I guess what I am saying is I don't want the low end model, I believe you get what you pay for, but also believe you don't have to pay a high end price to get something that does a good job. If the low end is just as good, then i get that.

Anybody have one of these, and what do you think? What do you like with yours, and what don't you like. I don't mind paying money if something is worth it, but I don't like paying money for something that 6 months later I feel is a piece of crap.

I have a combination of wood floor, carpet, and throw rugs on the wood floors.

I also know this isn't a do all. I know we will still have to put some work in to this. This is more going to the gas station wash v going to the full wash for the full buff and shine.

What say you?

I have 3 IRobot Roombas, and they are fantastic. Bought them about 7 or so years ago, (IIRC) and they are still going strong, even with an incredibly prolific shedder of a dog.

I can't comment on one brand/model vs another, but these frequently go on sale.

I dropped a link of a site you can use to monitor when these are discounted in the 'Internet Tips' thread.

I love the Shark I bought. When we were living in two places, I needed a vacuum for our apartment. Bought a Shark on Woot for about $70. Way less than half price. It was a "scratch and dent demo". There were a couple scratches on the front bumper and everything else was spotless. Woot sells refurbs and scratch and dents all the time.

The Shark is very easy to maneuver, easy to empty and clean, the attachments make sense and will allow you to do almost anything. It's lightweight yet powerful and every disconnect is the push of a button. The hand held attachment for stairs and furniture actually spins the small brush inside, first time I've ever seen that and it's very effective. Best vacuum I've owned next to my old-school Kirby.
