I think she was solidly mediocre, for exactly the reasons you stated. We're talking about VPs here.

Clearly, the American people sent a message that 'solidly mediocre' and 'more of the same' weren't going to cut it.

So in other words the typical politician? Chris Palmer got elected.

I doubt it. They'll probably be even more despised for letting/making it happen. Or perhaps the public will pity Joe because the party should never have picked him the first time, let alone trying to promote him for the second term run. Kind of hard to blame him when his brain is pudding.

Kamala should probably get comfortable with the idea of her true calling-- excitedly selling bogus junk on late night infomercials. If you couldn't beat Trump, you've no business in politics.

Obviously since she had already won previous elections.

Probably a lot like Dan Quale and most other VP's...largely forgotten.

It will probably take longer than that, but time has a way of smoothing out the edges of ex politicians.

Unless she does something else of note, she likely will become a footnote in history. She has been rather pedestrian in her political career and people don't remember for very long who was a Vice President or who lost Presidential bids.
